Shared 2 bedroom unit with another couple. Lots of room in the common area, full kitchen, nice deck, and as for breakfast....Wow. You can opt to go to the main eating area...or have it delivered to your door! Delicious! Dave greeted us when we arrived, and was the cheery voice of breakfast each morning. The only areas of improvement I can offer is to change out the towels in the bathroom more often...as we got to the bottom of the pile, not so fresh;, and clean off the deck and patio furniture...the surrounding woods tends land on the chairs. But overall, great location right between Interlochen and TC, and a great hideway!

Lake 'N Pines Lodge was a lovely place to stay. We booked two nights by mistake, but David Olsen was fantastic about it and didn't charge us the extra night! We arrived later than expected, but David was a kind and gracious host and took care of our needs for the night with ease and grace. I AM planning on returning to Lake 'N Pines Lodge! The hospitality cannot be beaten!

Just like I said in title I would like to keep this place a secret because it was beautiful and I would like to keep it all to myself (kidding). I visited this place end of June and was skeptical at first but when we arrived I started to feel the nature and relaxing setting this little place sits in. We are from Europe and like the woods and being close to the lake with LOTS OF FISH and this place delivered, my in laws liked it so much they want to be back next year!!!. The only one thing from this place being perfect is to have a camp fire designated somewhere by the lake which is not allowed at all, which is understandable with all the woods but I think right on the lake shore closer to the water would of been perfect and safe. Dave the host is also great and stays out of your way not like some places where people hover over your head , he's there when you need something and will answer questions you may have even though there are binders full of information for your convenience. Bottom line is this place is a Gem and we will be back hopefully sooner than later.

The property is great--we stayed in the Nature Pines Cabin, which is perfect for our family of 3--but the BEST thing about Lake N Pines is the wonderful customer service Dave and Melanie provide. They make you feel like you are the most important people there...so welcoming, so accommodating. It makes for a true vacation!

We recently stayed in the Navigator Room for a Sat. wedding that we attended at
"The Frog Pond". This was the first time either of us slept at a Bed & Breakfast type
lodge, and really enjoyed it!! The surroundings were so beautiful and relaxing, and our
host was so helpful and treated us like family. We chose a smaller room, but it was
exceptionally clean and comfortable, and decorated so nice!! The main dining/living room
area over looked the lake, and was also extremely comfortable. The breakfast menu was
amazing too!! We would definitely like to go back and stay a week in the "Anglers Nook" as
it is a beautiful suite! We would / and have recommended this lodge to many of our friends!!
Thanks for a great experience!!

We just got back today from staying the weekend and we absolutely loved it! We were in the Bay Chalet and it was so awesome! It was like having our own suite, lots of room, jaccuzi, sauna, private deck. They offer the option of having breakfast brought to your room, but we came to the dining room and ate, while talking with Dave, the owner, as he cooked breakfast for everyone. We originally wanted to stay in the Anglers Hook room but it was booked so we splurged for the Bay Chalet. Worth every penny. Very peaceful atmosphere, and the lake is quiet and for fishing. They have boats to use at your leisure. We kayaked for the first time. Highly recommend this place! We will be going back!

My husband and I stayed at the "Angler's Nook" for our anniversary - it was wonderful! This was our first time in Traverse City so the location was perfect (only 15 min away). Dave was a great host and full of advice on what to do in Traverse City. Our room even had a binder full of great suggestions on local attractions, restaurants, site-seeing etc. The breakfasts were amazing also! We loved that you could order what you want from their menu and that we could have breakfast brought to our room, unlike other B & B's. My husband enjoyed the fishing immensely and the view of the lake from the dock was beautiful. We had such a good time that we tacked on another night to our 3 night stay. The value is well worth it also if you compare to what you would pay at other B & B's. We definitely plan on going back!
