“Amazing!”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

Going to the end of camp performances at Interlochen is a delight. The place itself is a joy to wander around. It's also fun to sit in the main camp area and listen to the music coming from every corner.
We've also seen some wonderful professional performances here including just recently Kevin Cole, the pianist.

“The Stately Pines are alive with the sound of music”
Reviewed 12 July 2013

Nice stop to visit family on staff. Always great to hear the budding musicians of every genre practicing...practicing...practicing their way to, hopefully, being a professional musician! If you need music, don't forget to stop in the Scholarstore (bookstore) while you're there for a concert or on a tour.

“Concert venue on the lake, walkable campus”
Reviewed 2 July 2013

Having attended two concerts here and my son's graduation ceremonies, this place is special. I also plan to take a group of hikers out there to walk thru the campus as well as Interlochen State Park across the street.

“Variety of Arts Available All Year Round”
Reviewed 2 July 2013

One of the best ways to sample the diversity of art available here at Interlochen Center For The Arts is the performance called COLLAGE. It is a wonderful evening sampling of all types of music, dance, song and arts. It is in the outdoor covered venue called Kresge. Tickets are required and early arrival is advised to get good seats. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are offered for sale in tents on campus before the performance. There is an area with table and chairs for dining. It is an incredible evening and recommended for all.

“A true and unique treasure for the arts...”
Reviewed 3 June 2013

I grew up going to concerts/plays at Interlochen and then drifted away for a while not realizing how fortunate we are here in the far north to have such a treasure. Interlochen allows students to stay, study, perform and learn their love of arts/music is a gift they will carry throughout their entire life. Many have participated in the academy (during the school year) and/or the summer camp programs and gone on to become well known performers.

The summer line up is always exciting with many popular artists visiting our gem of the north...and I always plan concert evenings, many even being free of charge! Just going out and walking around the camp is exciting as you can almost always find a rehearsal to sit in on...or just find a comfortable spot to sit and drink in music floating thru the air. And the art displays are amazing in themselves.
