This was recommended to us during a visit to Kalamazoo, and it exceeded our expectations. It's a charming little corner pub in a neighborhood of older homes in the university area. It has great character - a small gated patio out front that the owner's dog wandered in and out of. They offered a great selection of beers, and were shaving fresh lime peel at the bar for marquaritas. The menu was a surprise, with a focus on original plates and specials. The price was a bit higher than we would have expected for the serving size and informal setting. But a great find. We would definitely go back next time we're in town.
