This is really the only lodging option for me in Kalamazoo. Comfortable and quiet. Fresh baked cookies in the evening and a delicious breakfast menu. Everything is just very well done! I look forward to returning!

Room Tip: My favorite is #8. Located on the third floor and very quiet.

We made reservations last minute, and ended-up with the last room in the house. Although the room was a bit small and the bathroom could have used a better light, the tub was large enough for a good shower, which can be problem with some B&Bs. The home is just lovely and a real treat to be staying in for a while. There is plenty of room in the gathering and dining area for a leisurely cup of tea and chat. Even with the smallest guest room, there is a DVD player and plenty of DVDs to borrow along with a power cord center to plug-in all of those cell phones and computers. We travel for business and really appreciate these features. Being in the city, there were plenty of interesting restaurants to venture to within walking distance. After our dinner, we were treated to cookies wrapped-up with our names on them--yummy. Bob & Marilyn were "inn sitting", while we were there, and they made sure that we were well taken care of, while Terry and Laurel were gone for a few days.
Thank you for a lovely stay...definitely look forward to a return visit!

This was our first visit to The Kalamazoo House but it won't be our last. The house is carefully restored and looked after, with some elegant dining and common rooms as well as comfortable nooks and crannies to curl up in if you want to read and relax. The house is refreshingly free of too-cute B and B decor or touches. Our king-bedded room #3 was spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. Laurel and Terry are warm hosts who enjoy their guests and offering information to make the most of your visit. The house is well-located in central Kalamazoo within easy walking distance to museums, restaurants, shopping, Bronson park, and other attractions.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kalamazoo House with Terry & Laurel the proprietors and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners were warm and friendly and their home was very well kept. Our room was spacious and comfortable and I must add the bed linnens were by far the best I have ever slept on. For breakfast we had a choice between about a half a dozen selections. They all sounded great and the 2 we chose were delicious. The K. H. was on a quiet one way street within walking distance to the downtown area where there are lots of shopping and dining opportunities. The only downside was that the room we chose was on the third floor which made for a lot of stair climbing. Fresh milk & cookies in the evening was a special treat. If you are ever in the Kalamazoo area and looking for a great place to stay, book a room at the Kalamazoo House. You won't be sorry.

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room to avoid climbing a steep narrow staircase.

Two friends and I came to Kalamazoo to visit the Gilmore Auto Museum and wanted to find a nice place to stay. Initially, we'd selected the Radisson. However, for a similar price we made reservations at Kalamzoo House and were glad that we did. Centrally located near many excellent restaurants, we found clean rooms, comfortable beds and beautiful accommodations. Hosts Laurel and Terry could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Our visit was capped off by an excellent breakfast freshly prepared from numerous choices. My poached eggs with New Orleans hash was first rate. Clearly, this is the best place to stay in Kalamazoo!

This was the first stay at a B and B for my husband and I who were in town for Western Michigan University homecoming.

We were already familiar with the area but wanted to venture away from the usual hotels during the busy weekend. We were very happy with our stay at the Kalamazoo House. The location is very close to great local restaurants, bars, nightlife and shopping.

Terry and Laurel were very kind and welcoming and gave great insight into the history of the house. We loved our evening cookies waiting for us and the breakfast was amazing (I am not usually a breakfast person!).

The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was also very quiet (which I did not expect from a B and B).

My only constructive feedback would be that the bathroom in our room could use some work. If the shower head, toilet and bathroom lighting were improved I would give this place a solid 5. It was good and functional, but the lighting made it hard to apply makeup and the shower tub was just ok (no way could anyone fit to actually take a bath).

Believe all of the good stuff you've read about Kalamazoo House! I found all of the positive reviews to be absolutely true during my recent one night stay. It's no question that Innkeepers Terry and Laurel pay attention to the details. Thank you for providing such service and accommodations!
