My stay at the Kalamazoo House Bed and Breakfast was outstanding! The proprietors were there to meet my EVERY need. Of all my experiences at a bed and breakfast, this was my favorite. The home is an example of beautiful woodwork, charming decore , comfort and scrumptious food! Located downtown, within walking distance to everything Kalamazoo has to offer; museums, fine dining, shops and a gorgeous park. I had no idea Kalamazoo had so much to offer. I am looking forward to staying more than one night for next year's business meeting . This bed and breakfast is run with LOVE! ( and chocolate chip cookies and milk at bedtime.............not to mention the fine wines, cheese and conversation in the evening)

Upon arrival, Laurel Parrott warmly greeted us and led us into the charming 18th Century Kalamazoo House. We were informed at that time of a slight change in our accommodations. It seems that there was a bit of a water problem in our reserved room; however, the substituted room was quite sufficient. The warm cookies in the evening were a delightful touch, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch with our snack. The included breakfast offered a choice of several selections (the Eggs Benedict was quite good).

We were attending a friend's wedding nearby.
Our stay at the Kalamazoo House was an unexpected vacation because of its ambience , friendly owners, and good food. Loved to sit on the porches with our friends.

We were attending my 35th high school reunion. At the last minute we decided to see if we could find a Bed and Breakfast to make the trip more enjoyable, rather than stay in your standard hotel room.

The Kalamazoo House went out of its way to make accomedations for Louise and I. The stay was enjoyable and the breakfast was wonderful. Try the special French Toast or Eggs Benedict, they are to die for.

Again, thank you for a great time!
We plan to visit again during the holidays.

Sincerely,

John and Louise DeGraff

We went to SW Michigan for a short brewery tour. When we got to the Kalamazoo house and told them that they offered us a local beer-Bell's! Not only that but the fresh cookies at night were delicious as was the breakfast. Breakfast tapas, what a great idea. The room was also great with a comfy bed, and even though we were on the second floor landing it was very quiet. I would recomend this B&B to anyone who stays in the Kalamazoo area!

This Bed and Breakfast was an absolute treat to stay at. The location is just a block from the heart of downtown Kalamazoo, and is within walking distance of several restaurants, shops and outdoor areas. Park your car and you won't need it the rest of your stay.
The building itself is a beautiful old home, far more tastefully decorated than most any of the bed and breakfasts I've ever stayed at. High ceilings make the rooms feel even more spacious and expansive than they already are.
Wine and cheese in the afternoon, cherries or cookies for dessert at night, and a solid breakfast in the morning helped make the stay even more pleasant. While the breakfast was good, it wasn't extraordinary, but the host was filling in for the owner that weekend, so I can't speak to what their morning repasts are normally like.
All in all, a quiet, convenient, and lovely setting for a weekend getaway. Only a short distance from the Kalamazoo Valley Bike Trail, which connects to the Kal-Haven trail, it's a convenient spot to ride from and return to, if you're even a beginning biker.

My husband really enjoyed his massage at Inspiring Hands, down the street. The delightful happy hour was a treat- great way to meet other guests. Breakfast was yummy and so were the bedtime milk and cookies!
