This is a quiet, old, but updated motel in what is now an unusual location, a residential neighborhood, rather than the edge of a freeway in the suburbs. The changing neighborhood is multiethnic, multiracial, and multi class. There are many old, but well maintained homes, some boarded up ones, and a lot of working class homes. Many seemingly prosperous small businesses dot the area. We felt we needed to take no more precautions than anyone in any urban setting would routinely take. The staff were accomodating and friendly. They appeared to be an extended family who lived on the premises. The rooms were basic, clean, and supplied with the usual furniture, updated plumbing and TV. The grounds were well lighted at night. A good place to stay for the money, good value. Jim Hawkins

Basically run down overall. But the bathroom... it looked like a science project. Mold and lots of it. The health department should close this place down. They must have full time tenants as the loud talking a people runn up and down stairs lasted all night. How Knights Inn puts their name on this place is beyond me

We stayed here for a WMU high school volleyball weekend camp. We booked last minute, so there were not too many options left near the college. First, we were worried because the main picture shows rooms facing outside/parking lot. With 23 high school girls, that made us nervous. But what I hadn't seen was that they have quite a few rooms inside as well. Secondly, the rooms were clean, a bit sparse, but t.v., microwave and fridge. Not all rooms come with bath tub, but ours did and it was nice and clean. Not very much in amenities, but for $64 per night, didn't expect any. I would probably give this a four star, mainly for being pleasantly surprised when expecting more like scary.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. For the money, a fair place to stay. I don't have anything more to say and I think it is silly that this review requires a minimum number of characters but I think I'm there - enjoy!

This place should be condemned! The area is super shady as well. What ever you do stay away from here. There was cockroaches, peeling paint, stained & ripped bedding, looked as if the ceiling above the shower was going to fall in any minute. Mold growing in the bathroom. Some walls were half painted. A phone book covered in what appeared to be snot & some sort of white powder. Also super dark with falling off the walls light fixtures. Uncaring staff. Parking lot full of trash & shady looking people doing god knows what. My thought was drug dealers & hookers.
