We just spent a night at the Inn and had a pleasant stay. It's one block up from the docks so you can easily take your own luggage. The rooms were simply furnished and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front porch and lawn were delightful.

My wife and I have gone to the island for the last 9 years. in October.
We would go to a new place each year, but after stayng at The Metivier 4 years ago we found a home. The location, rooms and staff have always top notch. We have already confirmed our reservation for this year.

My Wife and I just recently returned from an all too brief stay on Mackinac Island, Michigan where we had accomodations at the Metivier Inn B&B.

We felt as if we had been, somehow, transported in time to the beginning of the 1900's as the Island is essentially free of motorized vehicles, and the accepted modes of transportation are, walking, bicycling, riding a horse, or a horse-drawn carriage.

The Metivier Inn was a perfect setting for our stay as we awakened each morning to the sun streaming through our bedroom window and the sounds of horses clip-clopping in the streets of the town.

After a delicious and substantial breakfast on the sun-lit porch of the Inn, our bio-systems slowed to the Island pace as we sloughed off the helter-skelter, frantic, noisy life-style we left on the Mainland.

We recommend the Metivier Inn as THE place to stay during this fantastic experience on Mackinac Island. On a scale of 1-5, we rated it a 6.
