“Nice view and convenient to the Fort”

This is operated by The Grand Hotel and the service is perfection and the prices are not on the cheap side. So, knowing that going forward, the food is very nice and the chicken and dumpling soup is wonderful. Also, ordered the tuna salad is good too, not too creamy, but chunky with tuna (which I like).

“Best View on the Island”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

After many years of going to Mackinac Island and skipping the Fort Mackinac Tea Room because of the cost of admission to the Fort, my wife and I finally bit the bullet and went on a recent sojourn to Mackinac. One thing was surprising: the Fort was actually pretty cool. Another thing was not so surprising: the Tea Room was really good. The panoramic view over the island from the patio was incredible; better than I imagined, and the food was excellent. We each had a glass of wine and a sandwich. The food was fresh and prepared wonderfully. Service was excellent, although we were there on a weekday before Memorial Day, so it was not crowded. We really didn't want to leave and, but for the fact that the wine was $12.00 per glass, we probably would have stayed for another drink. The prices, especially for alcohol, were high, but that is fairly typical on Mackinac Island. You also have to pay $12.00 per adult to get into the Fort.

“Good food with magnificent views”

Situated up the hill just under the fort itself, this tea room is great.

I enjoyed a superior chicken salad.

The views are unparalleled and must be experienced.

“Relaxing lunch in a fort”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

After, or as a break from, touring Fort Mackinac the Tea Room offers a relaxing time as you eat, view the harbor, village green, and main street below. Across the straits you can view an old light house that was used to guide the many boats that sailed this area. Today large freighters can be seen plying these waters, as well as many pleasure boats. Refreshed, from tasty food our family continued to explore the island, although a rest on the village green might be great also.

“What a view!”

Delicious sandwiches, while sitting on the deck overlooking village square, boat decks, main street and, of course, the water.
