“We had so much fun!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

Did not get to eat here yet. We were out exploring the island and found The Woods. It was about 4:30 so we stopped in pub for a beer and lemonade(for the kids). We had a blast bowling on the vintage bowling alley. Kids loved setting the pins and sending ball back. Beer was cold and popcorn was so
good. We will definitely be back to eat.

“Outstanding Service, Great Atmosphere & Nice Menu”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

We were celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary on May 30th and chose The Woods for a special dinner. The horse drawn carriage taken to get there was the beginning of a super evening. The welcoming ambiance has a lodge feeling with wood beams on the interior and a Bavarian style exterior.
We were escorted to a cozy table and noticed most guests were spread out to afford more intimacy for all.
Try the smoked trout appetizer - I found it more than good. Also the bread served was really nice, a great quality. Dessert was a fun surprise acknowledging our special occasion. Again, the quality of the cake was very good and the presentation was excellent.
We can not say enough about our server, Michael Young, and his natural ability to provide efficient and charming service. Michael, in addition to the manager, Calvin, ensured a perfect anniversary dinner we will long remember. Thank you so much!

“It's ok”
Reviewed 23 June 2014 via mobile

The service at the woods is excellent. The food is ok nothing to die for, expensive, ride through the woods is an experience. Ride takes about 20 min. We had the duck, lamb chops, and whitefish. The Caesar salad came with all the components arranged elegantly on the plate but I would have preferred it to be served the traditional manner. There other places in town with better food but not the ambience or up scale feel
