“Great view, great food! Better than the Woods.”
Reviewed 7 September 2013

I went to Stonecliff for dinner on a date the other night and it was fabulous. We were seated facing the large window that overlooks the sunset behind the Mackinac Bridge, very beautiful. We each had the 5 course dinner and be both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The first course was the Amuse Bouche, which was Chef's Choice. It was a small quesadilla with avocado and salsa, and it was very good. Next we had the BLT chowder and lobster bisque, which were both delicious. I was pleased to find such large pieces of lobster in it. I had recently visited The Woods and gotten Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the lobster was very overcooked and not very good.. it was much more pleasant in the soup at Stonecliff. Caesar salads were the next course, and they didn't disappoint. For the main course I had the ravioli sampler with chicken, and my date had the cherry chicken.. They were both fabulous. The risotto that came with the cherry chicken was delightful, and the cherry chicken itself was nice and savory. I couldn't eat my entire entree, the portions were fairly large. For dessert we had a chocolate mousse torte with honey, blueberries, and a strawberry. I loved it! Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner on the island. I feel like the Woods is maybe a little bit overrated, and people should give the Cudahy a try too, Oh, and our server Colin was delightful! We were the last people in the restaurant and we didn't feel unwelcome for one moment.

“Chophouse was a great experience”
Reviewed 24 August 2013 via mobile

My wife and I had their 5 course dinner experience. It was amazing!! Started out with dinner rolls and cucumber infused water, they brought out chicken on a stick inside a mason jar with a smoke infusion which also included a rice side and a chocolate spice sauce all on a wood plank. Up next was soup, we both tried the BLT chouder, one word, Excellent!! Very good. Next course was a salad course as usual. For the Main course we tried the petit filet and the whitefish, both dishes were amazing and also unique in presentation. Lastly was desert, both had the creme brelet (spelling) with berries and a sweet sauce. Another excellent dish.. overall was great experience on trying something new.

“Wonderful food, great value”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

We stayed at the Inn at Stonecliff, so we decided to dine there. What a wonderful evening! There were six in our party, and one is a picky eater. There is enough variety to appeal to everyone. Most people in our party ordered the five course dinner for $35 per person. What a great value, and the food was delicious.

“Great Food”
Reviewed 9 August 2013

Very good food. It is in a small dining room located inside the Inn at Stonecliffe. The dress is resort casual, which after a long day of traveling it was nice to not have to get dressed up to go to dinner. They also have a kids menu.
