Inn is maintained in excellent condition. Rooms are very well furnished with nice feather beds. Continental breakfast surpassed what you would usually expect. Location is also a plus- within easy walking distance of most of the island stores and right near the fort. Inn leepers are very helpful in terms of giving you advice on what to do on the island as well as cetering to your needs.

Ann Colman is an inn keeeper extrodinaire! What a caring, smart and organized individual! She is a credit to the inn. Our vacation was perfect due to her caring and concern. She worried about all the details as much as we did! The inn is lovely and the feeling in the rooms is relaxing and well appointed. The inn is perfect and the staff so wonderful compaired to what you find at most places today. We were pampered for our entire visit! We will be back! Mary Ellen Ritchie

My husband and I just got back from the Island, and I can't say enough about our stay at the Market Street Inn. It started from the time I made our reservations and spoke to Ann, she was so nice on the phone. From the time we arrived to the time we left, Ann, Dave, and their son Aaron made our stay outstanding. My husband and I live locally and have stayed overnight on the Island many times, but I can say that this stay was by far the best one we have ever had. We stayed in room #9 and it was wonderful. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Our room was freshened everyday, and the staff did a great job. The best part was you got to decide when you wanted breakfast and were you wanted to be served. I would highly recommed that if you are thinking about staying on the Island at a B&B that you stay at the Market Street Inn. We will never stay anywhere else...

Spent two nights last week and had a wonderful time. The innkeepers (Ann and David) and their son (Aaron) were so friendly and nice. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were nicely furnished and the breakfast were perfect for me.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending three nights at the Market Street Inn during July. We were very satisfied with our stay. This was our first trip to Mackinac Island, and we are very glad that our accommodations were on Market Street, and not on the very busy Main Street. The inn was between a 5 or 10 minute walk from the ferry docks, depending on which one of the ferries you use to arrive on the island.

We booked our trip at somewhat the last minute and the only availability was a queen bedroom on the first floor. While we would have preferred the one of the king bedrooms, the queen was very nice. There was plenty of room for the two of us. In addition to the queen bed, the room also had two windows overlooking Market Street and Fort Mackinac, a ceiling fan, window air conditioner, comfortable chair, dresser and closet. The bathroom was separate and was good sized. We ran the fan on the air conditioner at night and we heard no noise from the outside.

Breakfast was served each morning between 8:00 and 9:30 and featured a choice between a muffin, bagel or cinnamon bun; fruit; choice of juices; a hard-boiled egg; and coffee and tea. Each day we filled out a menu indicating what we would like for breakfast the following morning, what time we would like it served and where we would like it served.

Based on the recommendations of the innkeepers, we had three excellent dinners on the island at the Yankee Rebel Tavern, Goodfellas Bar & Grill and the Stonecliff Inn. The first two were within easy walking distance of the inn, and we took a horse-drawn taxi to the Stonecliff Inn.

We highly recommend the Market Street Inn.
