We go to Mackinaw City every year but this was the first time we decided to stay here. The price wasn't too crazy like other motels have gotten in the area and the location was awesome! It literally sits in the park that is near the fort and bridge. And it's great walking distance to the town and Mackinaw Crossings!

It's a family owned spot and they do very well to accommodate their guests and keep us happy. The rooms and outdoor pool area were spotless.

We were upstairs and even though there are no balconies, they have chairs and tables set up along the walkway for all their guests. I would suggest if you can do the stairs to stay on the 2nd floor because otherwise you will have the view of parked cars.

There's coffee for guests in the morning but you definitely have to go to one of the many restaurants for breakfast which was no problem for us. They, also, gave us some great coupons and discounts for area attractions and dining.

The view of the straits and being so close to the bridge is very nice.

We already plan on booking rooms next year!

Room Tip: 2nd floor for better views of the bridge and water.

If you want all the amenities of a big hotel, don't stay here; if you want a mom and pop motel, stay here, as you'll love it! The rooms are wonderful; sure, they're a bit dated, but they're exceptionally clean and comfortable and fabulous!!!! Easy coming and going and the absolute BEST view of the bridge from anywhere in Mackinaw City. Parking directly in front of your room too. We always stay here when we're traveling to the UP and have been staying at this motel over the past 25 years.....

Room Tip: Pool and beach in front! You can sit on the beach at night and watch the water, see Mackinac Island, or just enjoy the bridge!

This was our second visit this year and will return again in October, if not sooner. Lynn and Marietta are excellent hosts who take pride in making sure their guests have an excellent experience. The rooms are spotless, the linens are fresh, and the beds are so comfortable, assuring a great night's sleep. And then there's the location...the best in Mackinaw City....the Bridge...unparalleled views...the Old Mackinac Lighthouse Point park....right next door with beautiful walkways leading right to the shore allowing one to experience the serenity of the sunrise or the quiet excitement of the sunset. Enjoy the views from your room, your balcony, or by the pool..a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. We're thinking we need to return before October....

Room Tip: Ask for an upper level lakeview room...well worth the few extra dollars

We decided on a last minute road trip that included Mackinaw city and the island. I tried to make hotel reservations while driving but every hotel was booked even at outlandish rates. I called the Riviera motel and was told they had one room left which I took. I was nervous to say the least pulling up but I thought how bad could it be for one night. What a surprise. Our room had the best unobstructed view of the bridge, unlike the hotels across the street behind us that were charging hundreds more a night. The room was super clean, comfortable and well maintained. I can't say enough about his place. What a find!

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of June and could not complain. The Motel is simple but clean and great views of the bridge. The fort and light house are very close. You can walk to town but it's not just around the corner. People were saying that the pool was heated. That's a plus. Tha park is right out front for nice walks on the beach.
