We decided to try out the Ugly Anne, taking the sunset cruise. So glad we did. The boat ride was fun, staff was super nice and the views were fantastic. We went in late May before the busy season so there were only three other couples on board. While cruising they give information about the area. They offer beer, wine, soda and water while on the cruise. The best part is the views followed closely by the owners/staff. It is family run and they are all super nice and knowledgeable. If you are ever in Mackinaw be sure to check them out, we will definitely be coming back!

Amazing experience. Seemed to be family owned, the lady who sold the tickets was a sweetheart, the captain, and gentleman giving information aboard the trip were very knowledgeable and likable. Amazing view of the sunset and bridge in a way that you have to see. They could have charged $50 a ticket and it would have been completely worth it. Great experience and trip. I highly recommend it to anyone going to mackinaw. A must see

Chris and his family continue to impress with the Ugly Anne. Kari and I love the boat, the family, and we always learn new things when talking to Tom, the "deck hand". The highlight to every cruise is passing under the Mackinaw Bridge, and if you have someone to kiss, it's even better. We ordered tickets in December, and I mentioned on Facebook the weekend we'd be in town. Pat called us to confirm reservations, and we were delighted with a glass of wine to toast our wedding.

My wife and I did the sunset cruise. It left about 8:25pm and lasted about an hour. The boat was fairly full but still there was plenty of room and everyone could get pictures. We were very fortunate in that it was a perfectly sunny evening. Not a cloud in the sky. The winds were light and the lake was flat. Though it was a little cool and gets cold on the return trip when the sun has set. Perfect weather.

The crew is very friendly and gives lots of interesting facts about Ugly Anne, the town, the lake, and the bridge. The pictures are priceless. We had wonderful pictures of the sun setting with the bridge in the pictures. The bridge itself is truly amazing and getting close and seeing the structure and the bottom of the road is worth really interesting. It was $24 a person and for an hour that may seem steep but rember it is a boat and takes a lot of fuel to get you there and back plus the views are truly worth it. It was a wonderful time.

The do sell tee-shirts and sweat shirts along with sodas, beer and wine.

Remember it does get cold on the water after dark. Make sure you are prepared. Several scoffed at the notition of needing jackets and they admitted they were cold. We dressed appropriately and had a wonderful time.

Thank you to the Ugly Anne staff and crew for a wonderful outting.

I sailed on the Ugly Anne yesterday with Captain Chris and his family. Spectacular folks! Great narrative descriptions of shipwrecks, Mackinac City Bridge, lighthouses, significance of the straits. Such a sweet family, beautiful views. If you love open water as much as I with great guides, you will have a wonderful experience. Thanks Pat, Capt.Chris, and Capt. Chris's Dad! I had a wonderful time yesterday evening.
