This was a very nice hotel. The views are gorgeous! The staff, Gary and Amy were very sweet, and helpful. We ate at Darrow's...hint... go early and prepare to wait, but worth it. We took the boat to Mackinac, Island, that was awesome. The beds were comfy, and the rooms were very clean, which is a pet peeve for me, but they met my expectations. thanks, Gary and Amy, we enjoyed our stay.
We have stayed twice at Clearwater Lakeshore; each time in the kitchenette suite. We love the location and view. It's away from the hustle and bustle and provides a quiet place to relax and take in the view of the bridge, the boats going in and out, and the wildlife. It does not have a groomed beach, but instead has a natural lakefront and fire pits. Very welcoming and the private owners are so friendly and helpful.
I echo all of the weekend reviews. Clean and well kept. Was a little noisy at night with the group of people located outside of our first floor room. I did not hear them once I fell asleep. A very nice view of the Mack Bridge. A Corvette weekend coincided with our stay filling up the motel. Comfortable beds.

are clean, lakeside rooms have small balcony but it was very nice. Close to
ferry boat landing. Mackinaw City is a great town also.
My 12 yr old daughter and I came up for some time on Mack Island.
I selected this place based on trip advisor reviews. It is away from all the busy stuff, but you can walk into Mack City if you want (about 1-1/2 miles for you walkers). The ferry services are within this distance also.
This is a family owned place,, attention to the guests is superb, and you can tell that they like to run a nice place. Nice little beachfront place for kids to play,, firepits, beanbag toss games. (The firepits were made ready to go every am with kindling and firewood, cleaned from night before. All you have to do is light it. Nothing fancy here,, breakfast eating area very tight and crowded at times,, may have to take food to room at busy times,, which is not inconvenient to do really.
I would stay again.
It's nice to find a place with such consistently good reviews! The new owners (I think this was their first summer) were very friendly and capable. They can recommend an excellent massage therapist if you need one! We were on the 2nd floor and it was quiet and comfortable, though a bit cramped with 2 queen beds. The fire pit and swimming pool, which we didn't use, were nice amenities. The shower wasn't quite hot enough for our liking and the A/C was somewhat noisy, but we slept pretty well after biking all day on the Island. The breakfast room is small and can be loud, but I really appreciated the gluten-free and non-dairy options; they also let me use their microwave to make oatmeal.
