This review is for the hotel only as i don't gamble.
During a recent motorcycle trip, i stayed at the Little River Casino/Resort. We found it because we were looking for a late night place to eat as everything was closed in town. Initially, our first night was at the local Super 8, but when we found this resort on our restaurant foray, we quickly decided to stay there our second night. It was a good decision.
My room was a 4th floor non-smoking single king in the North Tower. Initially, we were concerned the cigarette smoke from the casino would make it up to the hotel rooms, but it did not. Not a whiff of smoke whatsoever! The room was appointed nicely, it was clean, the bed comfortable, and the hotel in general was very nice. The overall look and feel of the resort was new, clean and fresh..... The common areas, near the indoor pool and restaurants was reminiscent of a Hawaiian resort, but with Native American decor. We ate at the semi-fast food Rapids, which did the job, but was nothing spectacular. The staff were very friendly, though. The Willows sit-down restaurant looked very nice, but it was too pricey for us..... The pool area was nice, HOWEVER, the chemicals were overwhelming---my eyes took a real beating, and i swear i didn't open them once under water.
While i'm not a gambler, the casinos looked very upscale, similar to the 4 Winds Casino down in New Buffalo.
In conclusion, i would highly recommend the Little River Resort hotel. It far-exceeded our expectations. We kept saying we wished we saw it the first night. In fact, our rooms at Little River cost about the same per night as the ones at the Super 8! An excellent value.
