“Great campground”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2012 via mobile

Really enjoyed our Labor Day weekend here. Our site was very generous in size (38' 5th wheel). The park is very clean, great facilities and excellent staff. The playground was perfectly situated and stocked for young ones, our 3 year old was well entertained. Only semi-negative was the FREEZING cold swimming pool that was advertised as heated. Loved having WiFi and water/electric hook ups so thoughtfully set up. Definitely worth a trip up to Lewis Farm Market and Petting Zoo in New Era. Great fun and photo opportunuties.

Stayed September 2012, travelled with family

We made our vacation at White river RV Park our vacation this year based on their website. The WiFi which I need for work was using air cards...slower than dial up if you can get a signal. The "rules" are not all listed on their website. The hours of the store and the pool is not set in stone. The "rules" are not followed by all...just those who are not on permanent sites. They were the only one with the golf carts and they would be out in them well after the 10 PM time and would rider their bikes without the lights that were also a rule. If you are wanting quiet this is the place because it was literally the only campground that you could hear a pin drop in!! Well at least until the VERY LARGE group arrived our last two nights there....they must not have gotten the quiet MEMO upon their arrival...another time the rules were overlooked!!! The staying at the campsite at 10 PM when teenagers like to visit other campsites....but are not allowed since they are not at their campsite. The people who do the majority of the work and a very job I might say are those who live there and rotate the cleaning schedule.

There are activies nearby to keep older teens occupied but they are bored at this camp area. This is a great place for families of younger children. The heated pool has got to be spring fed because even on a HOT day it is frigid!!

When we checked in we asked about the possibility of adding a day which they had one site available for the extra night....however.....there is a "rule" of a madatory 2 night charge for weekends....even if we had already stayed the week.

Most likely will not return with teens.....for older people and families with small children it is a great place.

Room Tip: 95% of the campsites are completely shaded..... not a bad site just further to get to shower house.

We were shocked at how large and thoughtfully well spaced the campsites are. It's a huge campground but easily to get around in walking or on bikes. Lovely little stream running through it. Great for kids to hunt minnows. Lake MI is only 20 min away. But there is a canoe livery 2 miles down the road that rent canoes, kayaks, tubes and rafts too!
