A quaint town stuck in the past. Get a view into the lives of miners way back when! The whole town is a museum and every shop, pub or coffee shop is in theme

This was the most amazing little town to visit and share in the history of the gold rush. It has been taken over by street traders & car guard/washers who harass you before you even found a parking. I have been here several times in the past but will never go back. They really turned this beautiful town into a cheap flea market. So so disappointed! Don't waste your time going here.

I have been to Pelgrim's Rest a few years ago, and was very dissappointed to find the town so quiet and dull now. A lot of the old little shops closed down, that made the place so special. We will definitely not be returning to Pelgrim's Rest

History is so good to view.
Lunch at the local Hotel is a magical experience.
Try the local brew too.
Take a Tuk-Tuk tour with a difference.

My first trip to Pilgrim's Rest and I was left wondering. Upon entering this small, historic town, you are taken aback by the heritage that stands before you. Drive a little further, and the local kids are milling around for handouts. The car "guard" insists that his (illegal) parking wont generate a fine and the general public have compete disregard for the rules of the road.

It's a quaint and historic little town, but I think the town folk need to do more to combat the annoyance of the begging locals and harassing car guards. But it's worth a drive through.
