On our 3rd trekking trip to Nepal we decided to stay somewhere other than Kathmandu's Thamel district after our trek. We were really pleased with this choice. From the friendly, welcoming staff, to the large bright room, inner courtyard, lovely grounds, hilltop views of the city and surrounding farmland, it was a great place to relax, visit Bhaktapur and try to recover from the Khumbu Cough that we picked up on our trek. The food was very good and a nice change from guesthouse fare. We stayed 3 nights prior to leaving Nepal which for us was enough time in the Bhaktapur area. We have found cheaper places in the Kathmandu Valley, but overall this was the nicest hotel we've stayed in the area.
