“Not that much to see.”

I just felt like I was in Intramuros when I visited there. P30 entrance fee for adult is bit much compared to Bell Tower and Crisologo Museum.

“Sixth President of the Philippines Memorabilia!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2014

Syquia Mansion houses President Elpidio Qurino’s (Sixth president of the Philippines) extensive memorabilia collection.Quirino was born in Vigan.

The Syquia Mansion is a short walk from Crisologo Street. Head towards Gordion Inn or the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the two-storey, blue and cream-painted mansion is located at the corner of Quirino Boulevard.

Very interesting collection and display of items.

The entrance fee is 40Php.

We met the grandson of the house owner and we roamed around the mansion and it was well preserved. I could say that they got a beautiful mansion.

“rich in history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2013

I didn’t regret visiting this mansion as it is rich with history, every nook & corner or furniture are full of stories. It is an enlightening trip, its like glancing back at the past. In all the mansions in Vigan, only the Syquia Mansion has a guide to tell the history of the house and its past owners, even the little details like a simple furniture or every division of the house has a story to tell. It was like reliving the past. Me and my friend arrived 5 minutes before 9 o’clock the opening time, thankfully the owner let us came in. The downside on this is when other tourists arrived then the guide have to start at the beginning to accommodate the new arrival. No entrance fee but only a donation, how great is that? Highly recommended for the history buff like me.
