Hotel situated right on the nice beach, that's the big plus if this place. the bungalow room we had was small and rather worn down, needs heavy refreshement! there are newer and nicer rooms in other buildings but they are way overpriced!
we were nicely surprised by food at the restaurant and the staff friendliness of the restaurant crew!!

all in all ok to stay but they could do sooo much more with this place...

Very big thanks to

the manager, who was every time taking care of us in best way,

the always fiendly staff and the waiters in the restaurant and the lady of our room cleaning

Mr. Dinesh, the Head Chef for his excellent cooking, his personal advices and the time he took for our (not common) wishes

Mr. Thussi and his crew for adventuras whale watching tours - it's amazing what we experianced - and snorkling with sharks - best worth all tours for little money

Overview:
Travelling around Sri Lanka on a road trip, had been staying at some ordinary places and was looking for somewhere half decent, we found it here. Stayed 4 nights before moving on.

The good:
The room was huge, light and airy throughout, the air-cond was excellent, the bed was actually a proper king with fresh newish linen. Front side of apartment opened on to garden and beach within 20 metres, pool was 10 metres walk away. The location on the beach is brilliant and the pool is clean and deep.Refrigerator was working, tea and coffee in-room was a Sri Lankan rarity. We were lucky enough to be at the hotel when there were very few guests but the few that were there, were really nice, which made the stay very enjoyable. It was a very quiet few days. Nice.

The highlight of the hotel is the restaurant and the Head Chef. Outstanding. Good quality, fresh food every day, huge menu, cooked to a world-class standard in my opinion for a very reasonable price. Very reasonable. ( The head chef I learned has had years of experience in the Middle East and Europe ) Every meal we were met by the chef who explained things to us and was very generous with his time.

The rest of the staff were very friendly, nothing a problem, always with a smile.

The not so good:
• No wi-fi. Except in the restaurant and then not very good.
• The bathrooms are fairly dirty and lack the attention to detail of cleanliness that is quite common throughout Sri Lanka.
• Bathroom toiletries were not provided apart from a tiny, tiny, tiny bar of soap. Did I say tiny?
• The restaurant was hideously humid and hot and had no air flow or a-c. Sitting outside was fine in the evening but it was an unbearable place to be for breakfast and lunch.

Would I stay again: Yes, for sure.

Would I recommend to friends: Without a doubt

Overview:
A nice place, good people, nice size rooms, reasonable rates, GREAT food, right on the beach. We looked at other locations along the coast and this was by far and away the best location for the beach. We also did a tour to Piegeon Island which was nice.

Room Tip: engage with the head chef when you review the menu, he's excellent and a nice person to boot.

We stayed two nights here and the rooms are very spacious and air conditioned. The hotel is literally right on the beach and had a dive shop. There is a pool and a wonderful outside dining area beside the beach. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely wonderful!!! The chef Dinesh is very friendly and on our last night cooked us a traditional Sri Lankan banquet of different curries and accompaniments. It was superb!!! I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

We stayed at Sea Lotus Park hotel for 2 weeks. We enjoyed the stay very much. The hotel is very clean, friendly, very thought full caring staff. Two excellent Chefs who give you a personal service and cooks you a very tasty and fantastic meal. The Manager is very friendly, approachable and always got a time to talk to you and makes you feel a very important guest. The waiters at the dinner room are very very helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel is on the beach, and they offer Whale watching and Pigeon
Island trips. Which are very interesting and value for the money.
Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bed sheets.
We had very good stay at this hotel. We would recommended the hotel.xxxx

We spent two nights at this hotel, Sep-2013. Overall we were not too pleased. Maybe also because it was so hot that we left after two nights to Chilaw, although we initially planned to be in Trincomalee four nights.
We had a room in the old building, the third floor. The room itself is very large and spacious. The air-condition was not good, probably lack of proper maintenance. It hardly cooled the room.
Bath was Ok, good supply of hot water. As for cleanliness, there is room for improvements... Less clean than one would expect from an hotel at this price.
We had breakfast and dinner on both days. Dinner was very good, breakfast is a standard buffet, nothing to write home about. The staff at the dinning room were not helpful, quite disappointing. Because the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. They didn't operate the air-condition at the dinning room because hotel was not fully booked... Which mean we had to eat outside because it was too hot inside...
The beach is very nice.
Overall, it was not bad but I won't really recommend it. We feel at this price one can get better accommodation and service.

We stayed for two nights on a trip round Sri Lanka and initially thought it was a shambles of a hotel, but changed our minds a bit during our stay. The room was fairly scruffy and really needed a major overhaul, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was good. The pool was dirty and the beach was dog-infested. The town itself was a disappointment.
