This is one of the few restaurants you can find in Munising area. It's plus point is its location. It is next to the Pictured Rock Cruise dock. So you can get a view of the Superior while having your lunch ! The food was rally good, specially the Nachos salad !

We ate breakfast here before our kayaking trip, largely due to their advertisement that they do box lunches. We needed lunches for our trip, so this was the perfect choice. Everything tasted great (omelet, French toast, oatmeal, eggs). But when we got our box lunches, the server filled up styrofoam cups with pop for us to take. The menu said it was cans of pop or bottled water. Obviously cups of pop aren't going to work in a cooler on a kayak, so we asked for the bottled water. After checking in the back to see if they had bottles of water or cans of pop we were told that no one went to the grocery store. So we left without drinks, and had a good laugh.

10:30 on a Tuesday morning we dropped in for breakfast. The sign said "breakfast anytime" so we were sold and hungry! The restaurant was not busy, just a few tables waiting for their food. We watched as 4 servers bustled about. Not one person said "hello", or "be right with you", or made eye contact. There were only 5 of us, not 20! After 5 minutes of being ignored, we walked out. There are many better choices as we found out later, I would AVOID this establishment, they failed at the front door.

We ate breakfast both days in town. Great menu and friendly staff. It is not right on the water but if you get lucky enough to get one of the few tables (we did not) in back, you would have a wonderful water view.

En route from Marquette to Sault Ste Marie, we were in need of breakfast at about noon and were delighted to learn that the Navigator serves its full breakfast menu all day.

The interior decor was delightful, with a sailboat theme. But we learned that there was outdoor seating on the deck in the back of the building, overlooking Lake Superior. It was probably the most beautiful day all summer for outdoor dining, so we waited a few minutes for one of the four tables on the deck to be cleaned up and were seated with a perfect view.

The breakfast menu was heavy on the meat, but I found a fried egg sandwich in the lunch sandwiches section, so ordered egg on wheat toast with cheddar cheese instead of the standard (American fake cheese), and a side of tomato slices. Hubby ordered eggs over medium and toast.

Our server was fantastic. She kept our coffee cups filled and spent a bit of time chatting when she could, while we awaited our food. Probably 15 minutes passed before our orders arrived came, but it was so enjoyable watching people and boats on the lake that we weren't in any hurry.

My sandwich was delicious. I had a side of hash browns, which were also very good. I appreciated amenities like the pepper grinder on each table.

For two breakfasts and two coffees, plus a side of tomatoes, our total bill was under $16 before tip. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for this locale.

They do offer a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu here, and they stay open till nine p.m. The Navigator outdoor deck is probably one of the premier dining experiences in the Munising tourist district. Go before the weather turns cold and grab yourself a table overlooking the lake.
