Nice trail to the falls, lined by carpets of wild flowers...a nice surprise. Don't forget your insect repellent...the mosquitoes were ferocious!

At 60' tall, and usually flowing impressively, Miners Falls is one of the best waterfalls in the Pictured Rocks. There aren't many others that match it in height or beauty! If you're headed to Miners Rock and Miners Beach, this is along your way. From the parking area, it is an enjoyable 0.6 mile hike one-way.

We visited at the end of March but there was still plenty of snow (including several inches of new snow). The waterfalls are frozen- and just really dramatic. The parking area was plowed and the falls were accessible without needing any special equipment (we just had regular snow boots). There was some deep snow in areas, but mostly it was packed down from other visitors. There isn't much of a hike in order to reach the falls from the parking area- just a little climb up the stairs (which were covered in several feet of snow).

We could visit this area when nobody was around.
We really enjoyed the walk and the nature. During Fall it is really great to walk here although I missed the black bears hoped to see some of those as well

Roads are not plowed in winter, so you will need to hike, snowshoe or take a snowmobile part way. The falls were mostly frozen over and had some amazing colors all around the area. Definitely worth the snowshoe in about 2.8 miles.
