“Worth the short walk”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

All of the ice had not melted when we were there. It was beautiful. Walk was very easy, and we are in our late sixties. Not crowded, but some people had taken their dogs which they didn't pick up after. Too bad.

“Quick, Fun Visit”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

The National Lakeshore office here was closed at the time of our visit, but there was still a ranger available and the restrooms were open. We had an hour to kill so we did this quick little hike. The trail is pretty and the falls are easily accessible. Unfortunately, you can’t go behind the falls anymore, but still fun.

“Very easy to visit”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

Munising Falls is handicapped accessible, and is only 1/4 mile from the parking area, so if you're looking for an easy waterfall to visit, this is definitely a great option. It does appear "fuller" earlier in the year after it has rained more.

“Winter wonderland, in spring!”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

The Munising area is famous for the ice caves and frozen waterfalls, but is you don't have the stamina to get across the Bay or to hike into the Eben Ice Caves, this is a good alternative. It is only 800 feet from the parking area and in a picturesque ravine.

“Stunning!”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

What a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. A quick car ride from town and a short walk to the falls. Walking past the babbling brook and being one of the only people at the falls was amazing. We walked up to the over look (maybe 20 stairs) to get a different vantage point. This is great for all ages and walking abilities. If you can walk up a flight of stairs then you are golden and can view the falls, it's not a hike like most other falls in Michigan.
