We stayed two nights at this motel. I was very impressed with the friendly and courteous employees. Also, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was a delight to be able to see Munising Bay by opening the water-facing door. All the rooms have a water view. Breakfast was definitely a continental and the breakfast room was nice. Not right in town, but less than one mile from most restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: I don't think there would be much noise if you had a first floor room versus a second floor.

This little hotel was just what we were looking for. It is in a great location. The rooms are a little worn but roomy. There is a nice continental breakfast. And the best part was enjoying the quiet yard while listening to the water hit the shore.

Room Tip: we were on the 2nd floor and our room was quiet

We were so happy to stay at this quaint little motel, the room was large and very clean and it was so nice to open the back door right out to the beautiful lawn and the water view. The outside is very appealing, with the red geraniums against a yellow exterior. Very nice lawn with lots of chairs to sit outdoors and enjoy the view. We asked for a pet room and the management was very accommodating, giving us a downstairs room. We had a puppy with us so it was so easy to take him in and out quickly. They also went above and beyond and allowed us to leave the crated puppy in the room for just a little past checkout. The only negative was that the neighbors in the room next to us partied right outside our window and door till after 11pm.I did report it to front desk after 11 and they did seem to get quieter. The hotel can't control inconsiderate guests and they were very inconsiderate. The breakfast buffet was good, nice variety ,yogurt, fruit cups, cereal and good choice of items to toast, bagels, etc. Very neat and clean and well stocked. Overall this is one of the better places we have stayed in the UP by far.

We visited Munising this weekend and spent 2 nights at the Beach Inn. Overall a pleasant experience. Located directly on the water, but no beach access. Property is beautiful and well maintained. Peaceful sitting on the balcony or in a chair closer to the water. Perfect spot to watch the sunset. Free continental breakfast (bagels, toast, cereal, yougurt, juice, coffee). Soda and snacks available for purchase. Nice little gift shop selling tee shirts and sweatshirts. Free bags of ice, however you need to bring an ice chest because it doesn't fit in the mini fridge. We got lost trying to find the ace because of the detour. Room was clean. Blinds did not open to enjoy the wonderful view. One concern--the only lock is the lock on the door handle. When we asked if the other rooms had a deadbolt or complete chain lock (our door had the receptical but chain was missing) lady at desk acted confused and asked if we were worried about our safety! So we improvised and put chairs in front of the door.

We stayed for 2 nights at this motel and while the view is quite lovely, the overall experience was average. The bathroom was dated and could use an update, there was several chipped or peeling spots in the tub. Throughout the room and the bathroom you can see where holes were patched. It doesn't ruin the experience but does make it feel a little dated. The shoreline is beautiful to look at but the entire shore is full of sharp jagged rocks, so something to be aware of with children. We were on the ground floor and the building is older so definitely heard the people above and next to us when they moved around. The motel is fairly close to the main hub in Munising, though road construction made us have to detour a bit. For the price I paid, I really expected more.
