“The best!!!!”
Reviewed 5 March 2014 via mobile

We have been coming to this restaurant for three years, as often as possible ever since we discovered it. (wish we had found it sooner!!)
It's one of our favourite things about returning to Nicaragua every year! The food is sublime. We've eaten in restaurants in 20 different countries and not had better food.

The setting is gorgeous and welcoming and comfortable.

Orlando is charming - a Cuban man who trained as a chef in France. Its his recipes that shine. Juan is a fantastic server who goes above and beyond in every possible way (including coming in to work during his vacation time to take care of us!) Gloria is a great cook who is as friendly as she is skilled.

We LOVE this place! Wish they were in canada..... The only bad thing about this restaurant is that it's so far away from where we live most of the year!

“Worth the little extra effort to find”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

A short drive from Leon towards Las Penitas. It is on the right hand side right on on main road. Wouldn't cost much in a taxi. We shared a number of items and they all were great. Even the liver, which we normally don't like was good. The mojitos were delish. The owner is from Cuba, but lived in France for a number of years so he knows how to cook.

“What a meal! What a deal!”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

The best meal we had in Nicaragua. Personal service (in Spanish), lush grounds, private group area, delicious and unusual dishes, we had five courses of 'whatever was available' that evening, and all were great, and with alcoholic drinks, totaled only about $10 each.

“They have good food!”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

We went here recently. It is close to Rancho Los Alpes where we were staying. Our group went here to eat. The owner is from Cuba and really knows how to cook. The food was delicious. Also the monitor were fabulous.

“Great cuban food”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

...and much better than you usually get in Cuba! Lovely evening too! Worth the effort to get here (Asked 3 taxis before we found one that knew where it was). Awesome Mojito and daiquiri. The yucca and beef dish was amazing and we also had a great fish quesadilla. The flavours were just perfect. To top off our evening, the owner drove us back to town for 100C and we discovered at that time that we both spoke French. So much easier than our Spanish and his English!
