Benjamin and Sandrine were wonderful hosts. Gracious, helpful knowledgeable and fun people to converse with. Hotel was immaculate with beautiful rooms. Sandrine even offered us the suite due to some airline trouble we dealt with. They couldn't have been better to us. Don't pass on de Sarta!

We stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved everything about this little gem!

Definitely book your transport from the airport to leon with them! The rate was $10 less than what we saw elsewhere and it's a trusted and great driver they use themselves! He picked us up right on time and was very friendly!

We arrived at nearly 2am on the day of our reservation but they made sure they had a room ready for us and someone at the front desk to let us in and help us with anything we needed.

Rooms are very spacious. It was just two of us and we stayed in room 3-a double. Big bed, reliable wifi, large bathroom, amazing AC!

We loved the little gym, not big but has all the necessities and the pool was a godsend! It's just big enough and always the perfect temperature for a post lunch dip or nighttime swim!

All rooms are quiet and the front desk is always guarded and front door locked (even though the city is very safe) so you never have to worry.

They will drop you off at the bus station and even give you a phone when you travel on day trips if you want, so you can call them when you get back to the bus station for them to pick you up.

Breakfast is included and delicious, some of the best crepes we've had (and we've been to France) and delicious fresh smoothies and coffee.

Staff is super friendly, speak English and have great advice on ideas! Sandrine and Benjamin truly go the extra TEN miles for you and really care!

Nothing but the best to say about them and it's a shame they don't run more hotels in all the cities we visited!

We stayed at the Flor de Sarta for two nights, and we would go back any time! The property is beautiful, well-looked after, clean en centrally located. I believe that we had one of the smaller rooms but it was perfect and definitely more than large enough.

The highlights of this place are the small but oh-so-refreshing pool, the incredible breakfast and the fantastic French owners. Sandrine and Benjamin made sure that everything was okay, and had plenty of great tips and addresses to share: both for Leon as well as other places in Nicaragua. On our last day, Benjamin offered to give us a ride to the bus. Great people, great service!

After travelling nearly 4 weeks through Nicaragua and Costa Rica we can say that Flor de Sarta was one of the best hotels. The staff is very friendly and helpfull and will help you with all your questions or requests. The breakfast is top, the pool is small but perfect to cool of after visiting a vulcano or strolling around in the city..Rooms are clean and comfortabel and price-value is excellent.

We spent 4 nights here. The owners are always around and are friendly, personal and attentive. Their english is only so-so and their spanish is good but accented (french). The front desk help has good english and are around from the morning into the late hours. Rooms were clean though a little sparse and dull. Small desk without a light and counter space in the bathrooms is limited. Hot water is good with nice pressure. Shower size is huge but no tub (at least in our room). All the rooms surround the pool but with the hotel being family oriented, while we were there, night time noise was not an issue. The A.C. has a remote, is thermostatic, effective and was about as close to silent as any I've ever encountered. There is also a quiet fan/light unit right over the bed.

The hotel is about 3 long blocks from the central park of the historic town center. Close enough that it's an easy walk but far enough that the traffic and noise of the central plaza were not a problem. They are also within a block or so of the two bigger tour organizers, Tierra Tours and Quetzaltrekkers. There's a supermarket between the park and the hotel and of course being a latin american country, there's a farmácia (drug store) on every corner.

The hotel has two nice inside sitting areas in the front building. One with a conversation corner near the front desk with a nice view of the street life and the other is a living room set up with a big sofa, comfortable chairs, a library (mostly french), a big T.V. with a video game console. The pool is motel sized but generally clean and usable. Breakfast is buffet style and while it didn't change during our stay, there is enough variety that you don't have to have the same breakfast everyday. They don't have a bar per se but will sell you water, soda and beer from the cooler for prices similar to the supermarket. They put a small bottle of water in your room everyday but otherwise it's pay as you go.

Next to the pool and the kitchen is a small gym with just enough room for an elliptical, a bike, an okay universal style weight machine and a small set of hand weights. All the machines worked as did the T.V. on the wall but due to three glass walls you'll workout in full view of anyone in the pool or on the patio.

They can arrange airport transportation to Managua. I don't know if it's the cheapest but he was on time and a safe and confident driver. A fact you will appreciate as you enter the Managua traffic.
