We ended up in the Admiral looking for a restaurant in Vis town that serves clams/shells - Admiral was the only one we could find that night in mid-August. For starters we had octopus salad (standard) and local cheese (excellent, served with honey). For main course, apart from the clams (excellent) we had prawns spaghetti (very good) and the special Issa soup for two persons (excellent; it's a fish soup with clams and scampi).
Service was very good, flexible and child-friendly. The view is nice in that the terrace is situated on the harbour walk but the ambien/settingt isn't anything special. Nevertheless, this was one of the best eating experiences during the 9 days on Vis - especially since the Admiral is quite reasonably priced (70 EUR for four persons incl. drinks),
