Stayed here for 4 nights on a biking trip to the area. The hotel is situated towards the top end of the medieval town centre, so is actually fairly quiet without being a long walk from the restaurants and shops of the town.
The hotel could best be described as 'basic but comfortable' - the rooms are nothing special (even a little dingy compared with the ubiquitous you-could-be-anywhere chain hotels), but they are adequate. The hotel has little in the way of amenities (no gym or pool, for example), but the restaurant serves food that is both good to eat and excellent value, and the ancient town centre itself is well worth a prolonged stroll.
I'd advocate visiting out of the high season, as parking could be a challenge when the town is busy (they did offer to let us park our bikes in their garage, but in the end we didn't feel the need to), and apparently it is a real tourist hot-spot.
There's a small yet very friendly bar across the street (serving very good locals brews), and several excellent restaurants in the town. It is also an excellent base from which to explore the local area.
