“Were there during job fair”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We did not have to pay admission since there was a veteran's job fair going on. We weren't there for that. It was a little disappointing since much of it was blocked. But it looks very well put together and that there are some great volunteers in there.....

“A Step Back in Time”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

A wonderful tribute to all veterans. To actually be able to be on a ship that was at D-Day was an emotional experience.

“Historic”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

An amazing historic find in Western Michigan. How could I now know about this earlier being from chicago. I decided to spend Memorial Day weekend In Western Michigan and ended my weekend, on Memorial Day, with a trip to the LST 393.
As you enter the bow you see the actual tattered flag that was flown on the ship on D'Day and tears were brought toy eyes. Such a powerful sight knowing where the flag flew and what it experienced. It symbolizes all we fought for and lost that day. And this was only the beginning.

The ship was incredible and indescribable. Walking where our soldiers did and seeing how they lived gave a feeling that's unmatched by any.

I definitely recommend a trip to Muskegon to see the LST 393. Our soldiers need our support and their stories of bravery and survival need to be told. A trip for anyone of all ages and backgrounds. A perfect end to our weekend.

“Great piece of history”

We brought our inlaws to the LST and had a great time! Our kids had a fabulous time seeing all the historic pieces! Father in law really enjoyed it, as he was in the Navy! Great time for all ages! A must see

“LST 393 Muskegon”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

We visited the LST393 in Muskegon and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a self-guided tour of a World War II landing craft that carried vehicles and supplies to our soldiers in the South Pacific, There are many exhibits - World War II posters, military uniforms and helmets, flags, photos of the sailors that served on this ship, an exhibit dedicated to the Tuskegee Airmen, models of World War II airplanes, artifacts that made me think of our dad, who served in World War II. I recommend a visit here for the whole family.
