This charming hotel, ideally located in a quiet Dordogne village, was recommended by our friends who stay here a few days each year. The room was clean and comfortable, and convenient to meals, and a wonderful walking trail just above the hotel. The hotel was within an easy walk to the village, a convenient source of local foods and wines, and to the river valley beyond. As mentioned in a previous review, the family was charming and welcoming. Madame Delpeyrat's meals, including vegetables, herbs, etc., grown in her garden on the property, were superb.

Room tip: Rooms facing away from the road are quieter.

Meas for four with drink cost €85, and the food was most acceptable. Service was excellent. We spent nearly 3 times that a couple of nights before at an upmarket nearby restaurant. The latter was a treat whereas this was just good food in a homely, friendly setting. Recommended.

This little hotel in the Dordogne was a wonderful find ideally situated in a quiet village near Sarlat. The room was clean and comfortable, the family charming and welcoming and the food was superb. The whole experience was fantastic value so we stayed an extra night. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: We stayed in Room 11, the annex I think with a terrace outside and a door to the garden, just lovely.

We were going to spend one night here, but after the first night int the resturant, we stayed for 3 nights. The hotel/resturant is family runned and the food was cooked by the owners mother and her son was front of house. The meals were the best we tasted in this region of France, and were delighted with bill at the end of the stay as it was a lot cheaper than it was in Brantome where we stayed for 4 nights.
The accomodation was very basic, but you only spent the few hours there anyway.and it was cheaper than others we stayed at, but the food made up for it.
Delightful area to visit on your doorstep and would recomend it for vistiting areas Nr Sarlat.

We paid about 47 Euro for room 6 (Probably the best room). Other rooms have extremely small bathrooms. All the showers are very, very small. No screens, which meant some mosquitoes do come in the windows at night. No air conditioning, no fans, which can be unpleasant. Breakfast is NOT included---skip the temptation to eat there and go to the boulangerie/patisserie a couple doors down, or you will regret it. Some English spoken. It is VERY clean. Has a sad, unkept garden, but there is a LOVELY ancient church nearby which will ring it's bells every morning. The village is visually charming, albiet very small. Evening meals sometimes good, sometimes bad (bland). Probably a great deal for the area. Note: Can be tough to find. Look for a sign that is lit up and says "HOTEL". There is a parking lot DIRECTLY across the street that says "Reserved for customers of Delpeyrat", which is kind of small. If you blink you will be out of town wandering aimlessly on a twisted road.
