“Good Pizza and veggie/vegan adaptable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Our son is vegan (vegetalian) so it's always difficult in the Dordogne however the waitress understood straight away and confirmed that the base and sauce contained no animal products so he had a cheeseless veggie pizza and was happy.
The rest of us all veggies all had a selection of pizza, salads and deserts with no problems.

Been here over a few years and it's a pleasant place for a familly meal.

“Getting worse”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2013

Over the years we've seen this little pizza bar expand and smarten up. Sadly now it simply re-heats the food, and not that well. We've had Luke warm pizza, crepes and even the potatoes on the dish of the day were cool. I think it now serves tourists who'll probably only come once. Great shame. Last time a local suggested we went to a new restaurant down the hill where the food was prepared with care. You have a fifty/fifty chance of a fair meal at La Grange...personally I wouldn't bother unless you're desperate.

“Excellent little bistrot, worth a vist”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2012

We drove past this restaurant but it was closed, but it looked so good we tried again and were very pleased we had. We also had by then looked it up on Tripadvisor, and got the phone number fro very helpful review, so were able to check on opening times - Closed on Wednesdays in off season months.

It is a large but quaint bistrot/pizza style restaurant with a substantial road frontage which has an awning roof , for bad weather, but retracted when it is hot. The food is local and very good. A particular favorite of ours was the 'Plateau degustation' for 19E which consisted of a 4 course meal on a wooden board - all served at once; however it so hot and delicious that everything stayed either warm or cold, as required, until you were ready to eat - see photo. We had a small but delicious Perigordine salad to start, then Confit de canard, Cheese, and then choco sponge and creme anglais to finish. It was excellent, and well worth a visit. They also had a full and varied other menu and some very good local wines. A most enjoyable visit, so much so we went a few times. It is just a few miles from Sarlat in S.W France in the Dordogne, and was a welcome break from all the tourist restaurants of the busy, but lovely, Sarlat.
