“A great family run rural French restautrant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

Having not stayed at the Hotel but if the restaurant is any indication we will in the future. The food is very good quality French regional cuisine cooked with passion and a good sense of how regional French food should be prepared.

“very good restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2013

It is a little formal and not the best atmosphere, but the food was amazing especially the fois gras... the best I have ever tasted, plus the staff are very very nice.
Will go back on a special occasion.

“Fabulous traditional experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2013

In an area dominated by standardised tourist menus this is a must visit restaurant. 18 euro for a five course dinner, with wonderful home cooked food and a fully family run operation, this is a rarity in this area. Friendly and welcoming. Extraordinary pâte. Well worth a detour.

“Incredible value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2013

This is a two-star Logis de France with a lovely diningroom. The food on the table d'hote menu is amazing for what they charge and their wine-list offers many wines at good prices. The family who run it are very friendly and we would recommend it for genuine French cooking of a high standard but with reasonable prices. We were advised to book beforehand.

“worth the journey...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2013

Family-run for generations, father farms, mother is chef, son and daughter manage hotel and restaurant. This is not country cooking. Mother makes the pate maison herself from scratch, and the soups, and a special-request cassoulet, and local trout, and the desserts with fresh apricots or strawberries. The hotel is a two-star gem, spanking clean with charm beyond your expectation. We didn't have a chance to stay here because we'd booked nearby and prepaid, but we returned several times to the restaurant for the warmth of welcome and the very special total food experience at lunch and supper. This is worth a journey from Cahors or Bergerac or certainly from Sarlat or even from Perigueux or Brive.
