Lovely part of the world, so much to see and do. This accommodation is well appointed, beautifully presented, clean and very comfortable. The owners are lovely and have a good sense of guest/owner interaction. They are very friendly and helpful. Great place to stop and relax and welcoming if you have been out and about for the day. We appreciated great cooking facilities, as we felt we needed some home cooked meals, having been travelling for quite some days. Highly recommend this lovely Gite.
Lisa and Graeme provided an excellent service to enable us to enjoy their lovely gite to the full. The property is very clean and well equipped and situated in lovely countryside, ideal for walkers but with plenty of beautiful villages close by to explore and many places suitable for children to adults. We had a wonderful time with family joining us for part of the holiday and we did'nt want to leave. We will return as soon as possible and thank you to the owners for making sure all our needs were met, nothing was too much trouble.

We had a great time at this stone gite in Lanquais. The kitchen is fully equipped, and Lisa had even bought some cheese, bread, coffee and a bottle of wine to welcome us :). The property is clean and has ample space for up to 4 travelers. The best feature is the big lawn around the house, with a nice table outside where we enjoyed our breakfast; there was even a fully functioning swing on one of the trees :)
You definitely need a car to get there, as the place is outside the Lanquais village center (about a 10 minute drive). On the way there is a nice lake with a beach were we enjoyed a late afternoon dip in the cold lake - very refreshing on a hot summer day. I can wholeheartedly recommend this property and would love to stay there again some time soon.

Le Nid de Faucons is the perfect spot to relax at, with beautiful scenery and stunning sunsets plus amenities not too far away, this gite is perfect if you want to switch off and just enjoy the countryside. The added benefit is that there is so much to do in this region so you have the best of both worlds in that there are gorgeous villages, swimming in the dordogne, night markets galore etc etc. We didn't want to leave! The owner is incredibly helpful. Although only one bedroom, we took our two year old who loved the free space to run around and explore. We would recommend this place to anyone

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in this lovely barn conversion in an elevated position surrounded by views of French farmland and trees. We were made to feel so at home and even had BBQ's with the locals! The accommodation is tastefully presented to a high standard and has lovely outside areas for sunsets and al fresco dining. A mile down the hill there is a lake in the shadow of a chateaux with a beach for public swimming (last 2 weekends June and all July/Aug) €3.50 adult. We took bikes and enjoyed cycling around Lalinde, Couze, and the canal side paths towards Bergerac. We also used the tennis courts in Couze and swam at a campsite pool open to public just outside Lalinde. There is plenty to see/do! Would recommend the accommodation and area to anyone looking to visit Dordogne. Thanks again to Lisa and of course Martyn & Gill!

A traditional stone barn, beautifully restored, in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Perfect for relaxation. Fabulous restaurant in Lanquais - just a shame it was a bit too far to walk to.
Lovely Gite - recently refurbished to a very high standard: very well equipped, everything you need in the beautifully designed kitchen. Comfortable bed and large en suite shower room again done to a very high standard. There was nothing either of us could find fault with. Very quiet location near the beautiful village of Lanquais. Stunning countryside and the accommodation is in an ideal location for visiting the surrounding area. We will certainly be booking a return visit very soon
