I would love to give La Ramade five stars but I can't quite do it on account of its situation. It is near a main road and roundabout The American friends who stayed with me found it somewhat noisy. Admittedly they are used to air conditioning, so were reluctant to close the more than adequate windows and shutters at a warm time of year, 29-31 July. My own room at the back was quiet and extremely comfortable, and I think there is also an annexe away from the road round the back.
Mme. Veronique could not have been more helpful. My friends wanted to switch rooms on their arrival(to suit their family needs, not because there was anything wrong with the rooms) and she dealt with the request with care, patience and good humour. She was unfailingly helpful, considerate and a source of useful information and advice throughout our stay. She seems to work a 25 hour day.
The atmosphere of the hotel is friendly and welcoming, and I would unhesitatingly stay there again
The hotel has been decorated with great care and style, the breakfast is excellent value.

Big and comfortable rooms , nice breakfast , beautiful garden and great hospitality from the owner. The only downside is that they serve dinner so you must find a restaurant. The hotel is situated in the middle of many attractions around so its a good base.

The grounds are also very attractive. Easy walk to train station. Very friendly hostess. We did wallk across to main town to eat, it was doable, but quite a bit uphill and if you have any mobility troubles,I suggest the taxi.

Room Tip: Very close to avranches train station, but not to restaurants. Very pretty and well kept, but inev...

Next to a dull roundaobout with heavy traffic, you find this oasis of a hotel. It's so nice, and you feel so welcome. The breakfast at 11 euros is worth every cent. The 22 km drive to Mount Saint Michell is easy. No dinner served at the hotel, but there are places nearby (McDonalds.!).
Nice bar witrh good malt whiskies.

Beautiful room with views of lovely grounds. The bed linens were exquisite and the mattress was just the right degree of firmness. I slept like a princess. The hostess was very charming and provided good directions for dinner as well as when we were leaving the following day. We chose to walk to dinner although, if we had it to do all over again, we would drive and find more interesting local food. The spacious rooms and grounds made this a very nice place to recover from the crowds at Mt St Michelle

We stayed here on the last night of our holiday before the ferry home the next day, We are a family of five so we stayed in a beautifully decorated little house at the back of the hotel with its own little patio area.- it has two bedrooms and a pull out couch for two. The owner was extremely courteous and helpful, I found it easy to understand her French as she spoke slowly but she also speaks some English. Breakfast was really nice - boiled eggs, great coffee and hot chocolate and gorgeous fresh croissants and bread. Only slight downside is proximity of restaurants - its about two km into Avranches but Madame is very helpful in recommending restaurants - we had a super meal in a little restaurant in St Leonard, about maybe 4 or 5 km away. Also free parking and excellent Wi Fi is an added bonus.
And of course the highlight of the stay for the kids was Guzzy and Scott - the two dogs ( very well behaved) just in case you're not a dog lover.

great start to our tour of brittany as we stopped here for 1 night to break the journey. very welcoming on arrival and a lovely room in the roof space, large comfortable bed and bathroom. Service for a pre dinner drink was a little poor and we had to go and find someone to serve us, no restaurant but Avranches nearby has mant to choose from, owner gave a personal and cheap taxi service
