After a brief closure (10 days) to make some modest adaptations to the layout of the restaurant it has re-opened.
The changes have led to a slightly more spacious feeling.
Really one goes there for the food, which is very good value for money. At lunchtime, apart from the main menus, there is a 2 course (12€) or 3 course (15€) lunch; service of these is very speedy. The other menus (19€, 26€ and 35 €) are more leisurely and more appropriate for those wishing to dine out in the evening. The service (by the owner - the father of Maxim) and one young assistant is efficient and friendly.
Parking is easy and the main square is a good starting point for a post-prandial stroll trhough the town or along the banks of the Charente. Well worth a detour.
