We came to stay so as to attend a wedding. we could not have asked for more: Comfortable and straightforward rooms with a homely feel. beautiful grounds. helpful, patient and kind staff and wonderful food. Just perfect for an escape.

Room Tip: Downstairs have direct access to the pool!

We were here for the second time. Last year we had a room with a terrace on the ground near the swimmingpool. Now we slept on the first floor. The room with the terrace we liked most, unfortunaly he was not available. The food ws good.

Room Tip: rooms near the swimmingpool on the ground floor are the best

We stayed at La Bastide for about a week in early October. The room (#10 - a premium cost corner room, a little larger, beautiful views) was perfect, and the dinners we had at the hotel were exceptional. The pool was cold, so only brave souls partook of it, but we enjoyed many afternoons beside it. Our friends were next door in room #8, and they were just as pleased with their accommodations. Breakfasts were robust and good. The proximity to Eygalieres meant it was a nice walk to town or a very short drive. And what a great little village! And an easy drive to many places of interest in Provence.

If we had any complaint it was this: the very helpful owner was directionally challenged, meaning that his directions were quite inadequate, so if you seek directions to anything, ask him to give you a detailed map AND written directions. Saying, "You can't miss it" just didn't cut it for us, since we got lost both times we relied on his directions. We commented on this while there but maybe to no avail. At least ask. But by no means was this something that would keep us from coming back!! Just something of which you should be aware.

Room Tip: The hotel is only 10 years old, so there may be no bad rooms. We loved our room #10, although it did...

It's peaceful, comfortable - and the food is good. Well run - and to be able to have a light lunch in the summer is a bonus. Excellent breakfasts too. Others have described well the setting. It is not a large luxury hotel but very fairly priced - and we hope to go back again next year, where the sun shines and the sky is blue!

This hotel was everything we had hoped for -- a lovely setting just outside of town, like being on a country estate with olive trees, gardens, pool etc. The public spaces are nicely decorated and comfortable, with plenty of spots to sit outside. The pool is very good sized with many chairs and umbrellas. Our room was nicely furnished, perhaps a little sparse, and the TV was a little small, but everything was spotlessly clean, including a very good sized and modern bathroom. The air conditioning worked very well as did the free wifi and we had a great night's sleep. We ate dinner and breakfast at La Bastide and both were excellent. The 3 course dinner for 27 euros was very good and the recommended wine was first rate. Breakfast the next morning was very extensive, a buffet set up indoors with all kinds of choices and coffee brought to the table. For both meals, we were able to sit outdoors which made for a classic Provencal experience. The longer we were there, the more the staff seemed to warm up to us (I speak some basic French, which made everyone smile) and we enjoyed it very much. We definitely wish we had spent a 2nd night there. There is only one small note -- when we checked in, we were directed to a room which I thought was a little basic compared to what I had reserved. Later that night, I realized that we had not been given the room I actually reserved. However, by then I didn't care and it actually saved us a few euro. I never mentioned it -- and perhaps it was just an oversight -- but if the proprietors knew we had been switched, they really should have explained it to us.

Just returned from a few days stay at La Bastide d'Eygalieres. This is the third time we have stayed here and if you are looking for an inexpensive, peaceful few days in Provence - I can highly recommend it. Helpful staff, a good chef and the Junior Suites on the Ground floor have their own little terrace, table and chairs and deckchairs. The swimming pool is uncrowded and pleasant, and table tennis and a trampoline are also available for guests. The snack lunches are extremely good - as are their dinners - and breakfast, taken on the terrace, is typically French. The charming and quite delightful village of Eygalieres is about 1km away and has at least four excellent restaurants to enjoy. Ideal for anyone, whether you just to wish to have a quiet holiday or to be more energetic, and explore the surrounding area on foot or by car.

Room Tip: The Lavendiere Junior Suite has a four poster bed, and it's own little terrace.

We - a middle-aged danish couple, normally living in France - stayed at La Bastide d'Eygalières for 4 nigths. It was a very good experience. We enjoyed everything : The beautiful surroundings, the beautiful decoration of the room and the whole bastide inside and outside, the nice staff, the relaxed and informal atmosphere, and last but not least the very good and healthy food.
We'll be back and we give Bastide d'Eygalières our best recommandation.

Room Tip: We tried 2 different rooms and preferred the room Rosillon, which is situated in a building a couple...
