We stayed in the studio for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. After the hustle and bustle of Paris this was the perfect place to relax and a fantastic base to explore the surrounding villages. We loved the amazing view of the hills and valley which you could gaze at every morning from bed. Breakfast was delicious and we especially enjoyed the home made jams. The pool was beautiful and refreshing after a day out exploring and it was tempting to stay there all day gazing at the countryside. Guy and Marie were the perfect hosts and helped in any way they could and we really felt looked after and cared for. Guy made a dinner reservation for us at Aux Fines Herbes and it was one of the best meal we had in France. Thanks again 

Lou Baou is a beautiful place. Myself and my husband stayed in the workshop which was roomy and decorated in a charming way. The bed was really comfortable and it was great to have a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom attached to the workshop is superb and very modern. Our teenage children stayed in the blue room which was also very comfortable. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and had amazing views looking over the garden, the pool and the valley.
Marie and Guy are very hospitable and knowledgeable about the history of the area and very happy to share information about the best places to eat and visit. Guy's advice and use of his maps was great. The breakfasts were also superb with their home made jams and fruit from their garden. We also used the BBQ one night and there are plates and other utensils. Their animals (particularly Crock!) are gorgeous. It was our first visit to Provence and I cannot praise it highly enough. The people were incredibly friendly and very kind about our terrible French language skills. It really was the highlight of our holiday and we would recommend it very highly!

Room Tip: The workshop was fantastic as it is so roomy and it has the kitchenette and very modern bathroom. Th...

We stayed here for 5 nights and were in the studio room. It was just perfect for us! The bathroom is large with a great shower, and there's plenty of room to hang your cloths and ample closet space. The bedroom is a good size room, so you are not crowded. Looking at the bed at first we didn't think it would be comfortable...but it is! We slept fine there each night. There is a little patio with table and chairs outside that over looks the pool and the lovely view of the Luberon hills and valley. It was very hot weather while we visited and I thought a ceiling fan would of been a nice feature (there's no AC) especially for sleeping at night. We were warm. The wireless wasn't the strongest, my husband was able to get on but I kept getting bumped off or couldn't re-connect. But these are minor things. Guy and Marie are so helpful and interacted so much with the guests. Our first evening we needed a place to eat, so they called several places until one was available for us. They assist you with your daily adventure plans and suggest the restaurants for your evening meal. Staying here at this locality is the best! My husband had so much fun with Guy and Marie, we socialized with them one evening, and had a lot of fun. Goult is not an over populated tourist town, and they have many (very good) restaurants. You can walk to the village to dine. So once you return from your daily outings, you do not have to get in the car to drive to dinner. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool. We relaxed and read by it and went in for a refreshing dip. The grounds on the property are lovely, lots of flowers, shrubs, flowering bushes. All landscaped perfectly. Breakfast is very pleasant outside on the table having delicious coffee (or tea), fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, fresh jams, and croissants, while enjoying the view! Prior to the trip when I was researching the villages and bnb's, I had looked into several other bnb's in the area, and this is the BEST place to stay. So glad we stayed here and not in the other nearby villages. Goult has the charm of them all. BTW...this is the first review I have written...so you know I recommend it!

Room Tip: If possible book the "studio". I didn't see the 2 other rooms, but I enjoyed ours!

First, Goult is a charming little village, not overrun by tourists. Quiet and picturesque. Lou Baou is more like a B and B than a hotel. 3 rooms, we stayed in the "Workshop" which was a fine large room, small kitchenette, very modern bath, good wi-fi and TV. Spectacular view from our room overlooking the Luberon. Guy and Marie are wonderful, friendly hosts, but not overbearing. They supply a nice continental breakfast every morning and make local suggestions for places to visit. We highly recommend this spot, and plan to return.
PS: A pleasant 15 minute walk to the center of town.

The B&B experience was fantastic and it exceeded our expectation. Thanks to Marie and Guy who are very friendly and thoughtful. We were delighted once we stepped onto the property. The surrounding was beautiful with lots of trees and flowers up on the hill overlooking the Luberon mountain, a good representative of Provence vacation place. The Blue room was comfortable with good privacy and overlooking the garden. The breakfast was so tasty with homemade fruit jams and we were eating outside enjoying the beautiful scenery. We were provided with detailed maps and guidance on where to visit in nearby cities like Gordes, Rousillon, Lacoste etc. We hope to stay longer as this is the best B&B experience ever. We had wonderful experiences in the States but this is exceptional.

We had such a wonderful 3 night stay at Lou Baou at the end of March/beginning of April. Guy and Marie (and their sweet dog Croque!) are so welcoming and wish to make your stay perfect. Even during this time of year, the grounds are beautiful and the view from the room and terrace area are gorgeous of the Luberon. We stayed in the blue room, which shares a toilet in the hallway with the pink room, but you have your own shower and sink in the room. The room was very cozy and clean and we saw the pink room which looked lovely also. Both have their own private entrance. Breakfast is enjoyed outside (if warm enough) or in their living room and everything was delicious. The location is a perfect spot to explore the Luberon and you can walk (about 10 mins) into the town of Goult for dinner, which was wonderful. We have some very fond memories of sharing stories with Guy and Marie and hope to stay again!

Marie and Guy are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at LOU BAOU in Goult
A small clarification: The PINK ROOM has a private toilet. In the hallway are those reserved for the BLUE ROOM and not a common one.

My husband and I wanted to visit Provence so we could tour the countryside on bicycles. On short notice, we were fortunate enough to book an eight-night stay at Lou Baou due to a cancellation. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into Lou Baou's warm and inviting environment: A stone farm-style house, pristine grounds and facilities, a breathtaking view of the Luberon hills, and, best of all, our wonderful hosts, Guy and Marie! They were genuinely gracious and intent on making every effort to provide the very best trip experience for their guests! We felt so well cared for! The Atelier Studio, where we stayed, had a refrigerator and some kitchen facilities which was helpful for our trip duration. We were shown the other two inviting guest rooms.... all three (including ours) were immaculate and beautifully decorated, with views and terraces. The breakfasts were a real treat and wonderful way to start each day. Always outside and often with the other guests, we were provided with a variety of bakery-fresh breads, yogurt and fruits, topped off by Marie's delicious homemade jams. Each morning, Guy was very helpful in providing us assistance with our day's plans and showing us the best routes to take.
Lou Baou's location was ideal! It was a pleasant 10-minute walk to the village of Goult, which is a worthwhile destination in itself with its charming cobbled streets and medieval buildings. We loved the "Cafe de la Post" for good, hearty French food --- lunch only! Lou Baou's proximity to Gordes, Rousillon, and the famous hill towns of the Luberon was perfect!
To us, Lou Baou was the ultimate in a B & B experience! We hope to return!
(Note: My husband also wrote a review. Being so enthused, I had a few things to add.)

Room Tip: All are excellent!
