When traveling with a young family, one typically looks for clean, quiet, reasonably placed rooms, a nice pool for the kids, and hopefully a friendly and helpful staff. To say this place met our expectations is an understatement. Waffles and about anything else kids or parents would typically want for breakfast in a very nice lobby area was an added bonus. Even more outstanding was the staff. Incredibly friendly people who went way out of their way to make our visit comfortable, even down to finding extra snacks for our kids as we were leaving. Simply could not imagine finding a better place for what we were looking for. Outstanding!

We found this hotel to be very inviting, clean, and Mary was an excellent manager who helped us right from the start. The pool was excellent along with the spa. We will come back here next time we are in the area. We have family in area which makes this place excellent,

My friend and I stayed at the Pellston Lodge because we were doing the Mackinac Bridge Walk on Labor Day, 2013. We were pleased with the distance to Mackinaw City. We had no idea that the hotel and staff would be so kind and welcoming! Courtney, the First face we saw, was very pleasant and had many ideas where to eat, how to prepare for the walk. We had dinner Sunday night at Douglas Lake Bar and were expecting a middle of the road bar and lounge. We were pleasantly surprised! Our halibut dinner with heirloom tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella was out of this world. after walking 12.2 mile on Labor Day, the best part was coming back to the lodge to get in our suits and get into the hot tub and pool. It was heaven on our tired feet and joints. Courtney also accommodated my need for a conference call the morning I was checking out, she let me stay in the room and have a late check out to accommodate me.. The cozy, easy to find, lodge feel place, was top notch.. Courtney made us feel that we were the ONLY guests, she was very nice. We definitely will be back!!

Room Tip: Get a room that doesn't have a noisy bathroom fan. Ask for a room with a mini fridge,it will eliminate bringing a cooler. Tne hotel should add a outside patio (not by the pool) area so that guests could watch the sun set and maybe enoy a glass of wine. We stood outside to watch the sunset..kind of weird.

I have had a chance to stay at the Pellston Lodge several times in the past year. This hotel was part of the Holiday Inn chain and is located across from the Pellston Air Port. If you are flying out this is a great place to stay. The hotel is out dated but clean and the staff there are very friendly and helpful. There is a pool and hot tub but I have never used it on my trips. They have an early morning breakfast 5am for those catching the 6:30 am flight.

The Manager of the hotel, Mary, could not have been nicer. We booked a 2-night stay and had to leave 1 day early due to a family emergency. The Manager arranged for us to get a refund, and she was extremely pleasant and efficient. The night clerk on our first night was also very pleasant and had upgraded our room. Kudos to this hotel!
