I'm not a big Bed and Breakfast person, but if more were like this place I would probably stay in them more often. We were here for a wedding and reserved the entire house. It is a great place with a very large yard and a huge porch that wraps around it. The house itself was VERY clean with great attention to detail right down to the Ralph Lauren sheets. The rooms must be well insulated because they were very quite once you shut the door. I am a very light sleeper and was never bothered once. The breakfast each day was carefully prepared/presented and tasted great! The hosts were very pleasant and accomodating even with our crazy wedding schedule. Despite a very rainy weekend, the hosts were quick to find some dry wood and get a fire going for us in the back yard. Just a short bike ride into town and a great experience, we will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs where a door opened up to a great general area porch overlooking the lawn, not su...

The Hexagon is a beautiful and charming B&B. Loved the huge porch areas. Lots of space to relax, enjoy the sun, drink some wine. Walking distance to downtown Pentwater, which is a sweet little town to grab a bite, hear some music or enjoy more wine... The Hexagon was clean and the host was most delightful and accommodating. We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast and engaging conversation in the morning. Looking forward to going back again someday!!

Room Tip: The inn is in a quiet location off the road, so it's hard not to enjoy the tranquility of the pl...

We stayed at the Hexagon House while vacationing the week after Labor Day. The beautiful bed and breakfast was so relaxing! The rooms are unique and each have their own door which open to the covered porches. We had to drag ourselves away the porches were so inviting! The breakfasts were lovingly prepared and were a great mix of dishes (sausages, coffee cake, etc). The innkeepers were enthusiastic and welcoming, very geared towards making your stay comfortable. My take away thought on this charming B&B is that it's a place where you really feel at home, yet also pampered, relaxed, and inspired. We would definitely stay there again and recommend that everyone in the area does at least once.

Room Tip: We looked in all the rooms-you can't go wrong with any. However, the Cottage Rose Suite is somet...

This was our 6th trip to the Hexagon House. We were here celebrating my husbands 40th birthday. We actually got engaged there in 2006 and have tried to return as often as possible. Pentwater is such a charming town and we love to take the bikes (provided by the Inn) into town to shop, dine and enjoy the beach. This was our first trip back since Matt and Sandy have taken over as Innkeepers and they were wonderful! We enjoyed cocktails and S'mores at the fire pit which was a new addition since our last visit. I highly encourage anyone looking for a great B&B in a relaxing town to try the Hexagon House....you will NOT be disappointed! And plan on spending some time at the Inn - the gigantic wrap around porch is great for relaxing, reading, napping, drinking wine. It's just so beautiful - it's a shame to only sleep there.

Spent a beautiful Michigan evening there in August of 2013 with my wife for a short getaway from our 2 boys. The property is very charming and is located in a peaceful location not too far from the main street in Pentwater. If you like bikes and want to get the full lay of the land then your in luck because the Inn offers three cruiser style bikes on a first-come first-serve basis. My wife and I used them extensively on our stay and it made our short visit to Pentwater so much more enjoyable. The Innkeepers (also the owners), Sandy & Matt, are passionate about their property and their guests' experiences. Our morning breakfast out on the beautiful deck was very relaxing and a great way to start our day. I only wish we would have spent more time on the private deck outside our room, but we were too busy enjoying the sights, sounds and food in Pentwater.

Just left the Hexagon House and one of our best B & B experiences ever. A wonderful location in a wooded area that makes you feel that you are staying in a forrest park. However, the nice village of Pentwater is just two minutes away by car or a fifteen minute walk, if you're so inclined. The inn is very attractive and very comfortably appointed. The common areas are very roomy, sunny and cozy. The rooms are very comfortable but the bonus is the fact that they all open up on a very spacious porch that surrounds the entire second floor. We encountered an afternoon thunderstorm that would have normally ruined our day, however, thanks to the porch we were able to sit outside with one wine and our books and enjoy the show.

The heart of the inn is the innkeepers, Matt and Sandy. They are very hands on and go out of their way to make the visit as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast they prepared each morning was wonderful...unique, original and just the right amount.

My best evaluation would be if I would recommend this place to my friends. My answer would a wholehearted: "Yes!" We look forward to returning ourselves.

The Hexagon House was a beautiful retreat from hectic life in the city. We found the innkeepers Matt and Sandy to be very pleasant and helpful, and there was a lot of privacy which made the experience peaceful. I especially liked the porch access right off the room. The breakfast was delicious too.
