This park is simple, and beautiful. There is a few to get to the beach. I noticed all the state parks in MI charge to enter. But it's reasonable, and well worth it. These parks are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Don't forget to look for the Petosky stones! Water is chilly, but refreshing on a hot day.

“Affordable outdoor fun.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014 via mobile

Booked a camping site last minute (day of) and was not disappointed. Good distance between camp sites (trees between) and the beach is wonderful. Couldn't find any petoskey stones very easily though. The trails are worth checking out, wearing hiking boots because it can be sandy. The only complaint- it's a very family friendly site so be ready for lots of playful children all day long. Would camp here any day again!!!!

“Great Beach”

It isn't warm enough to swim for very long in Petoskey, but if you go in July or August, this is a lovely beach.

“Relaxing”

We visited the beach late in the afternoon to have a picnic dinner and read on the beach. The facilities were clean and the beach deep. Lovely views and minutes from the downtown.
