“Best Comfort Inn ever!”
Reviewed 31 July 2013 via mobile

This is the best Comfort Inn we've ever stay at. The room was very clean & loved the in-room whirlpool bathtub! The staff are friendly & the morning breakfast was very good. Plenty of fresh fruit & waffles were very good. We will definitely stay here again. And it's pet-friendly too! Thank you Comfort Inn!

Stayed the weekend here for the b93 birthday bash. This hotel was very clean and all the staff were nice. Right off the expressway, stores, gas stations and even a ER right across the street. The only down side was that the ice maker on the 2nd floor was out of order so I had to go to the breakfast area for ice

One of the reasons I choose this hotel was on the Choice hotels website it was indicated to be a "Platinum Winner". My fault was not checking to see WHEN it was a platinum hotel. Turned out it was back in 2006, 2007 and 2008 I think I remember seeing the plaques on the wall. This is a 2 story hotel with NO ELEVATOR-BEWARE! Also they have NO LUGGAGE CARTS. I'm not sure how a platinum hotel can get away without luggage carts.

Breakfast was pretty standard, no complaints. Flat screen TV's in the rooms with a slightly above average selection of cable channels. So over all no real complaints, just SHOCKED at no luggage carts and no elevator.

Room Tip: Get a first floor room if you do not want to drag all your stuff in and up steps.

My wife, two daughters, and I stayed here this weekend as we were in town for a graduation party.

We found the service to be excellent. The check-in clerk was very nice and took the time to mention that there was free coffee available and what the pool hours were.

We also requested a crib. The attendant that set it up for us was very friendly. The crib was perfect for our needs and included bedding and a very cute crocheted baby blanket.

The rooms were clean and excellent. It looks like they have been redone recently. The bathrooms were very good size. My in-laws were in the room next to ours. Their bathroom was huge. The beds were very comfortable. The free wi-fi was fast and much appreciated.

We spent the early evening (and next morning) swimming in the pool. The pool was good-sized. I believe that there is an outside sunning area as well. The hot tub was also good-sized. Plenty of towels were provided at the pool so we didn't need to bring ones from our room.

There is a nicely-stocked buffet for breakfast which included eggs, waffles, sausage, etc.

The hotel was reasonably priced. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

*** The hotel is close enough to Kalamazoo that parents staying for visits or events at Western Michigan University should consider this hotel.

Room Tip: The room darkening shades are top-notch and allowed us to sleep in.

We have used this hotel many times to host Scrapbooking retreats. The conference Center is perfect for this! Vickie is amazing and the food is great. If you don't use the catering, there are lots of restaraunts close by. Walmart and Meijer are right down the street if you need to develop pictures or pick up supplies. Breakfast choices are good. Pool is nice, but a little loud.

Room Tip: No elevator, so if you don't want to lug your bags up the stairs, ask for a first floor room

We stayed here with a skating group and were pleased. Group rate was very reasonable. Morning breakfast was quite good and staff were pleasant. Far from wings stadium, about 25 min. No bar or restaurant in hotel but they did have a banquet room for us to serve dinner. Next door to a big boy restaurant and down the street old mill bar for drinks.

This hotel is decent, but I thought a little overpriced. Great pool indoors kids loved it. I've stayed here three times while visting in the area and have had no complaints at all. I would definitely stay there again and would also recommend it to others.
