“Second to None”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2011

This Hotel is absolutely second to none. I stayed in a very spacious Luxury King room. It was huge and very tastefully appointed. I would take this hotel over the Ritz Carlton anyday. Built in the English Manor style, the architect here did an exceptional job and missed no details. There is absolutely nothing that i could complain about. The service is great, the food is great, the staff are friendly and helpfull. I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: For the difference in price I would definitely choose the Luxury King Room

We checked in for Sweetest Day weekend and had a wonderful time! We stayed in a Park Suite which is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. Our suite had a fireplace in the living room area, a kitchen area (no micro) a large bedroom and bathroom. Downtown Rochester is walking distance and the hotel is next to Paint Creek biking/hiking trail. The trail is a beautiful ride along the stream for many miles.

I would skip the Brookshire for dinner. he staff is rude and requires customer training for a place that charges $120 for dinner. We went to the Rochester Chop House on our second night and had incredible service and food!

Thank you for your kind words about our hotel rooms and the surrounding Rochester area. We are fortunate to have a great housekeeping and engineering team that maintains our property so well on a daily basis. Having downtown Rochester as a close neighbor only enhances our guests' experience.

I am disappointed that our dining room team was unable to meet your expectations on Friday evening. It is quite unlike them. Would you kindly take a moment from your day to contact me directly at jharatsis@royalparkhotel.net or telephone me at 248.453.8700 to discuss your experience? I would be quite grateful.

Thank you for your comments. Every comment helps to maintain and/or improve our service levels.

Our friends were getting married and their wedding reception was held at the Royal Park. We stayed here for 3 nights during the wedding festivities and were given a very good rate as part of the wedding.

The hotel is located in Rochester a lovely town in Michigan and the hotel is walking distance from the main street as well as surrounded by parkland with running tracks.

Check in was easy and the rooms large and lovely, with a very comfortable bed and large marble bathroom. The rooms all have in-room safes and we were provided with complimentary water every day. The bathroom had a dual head shower. One thing the room lacked was a hotel directory so it was difficult to determine hotel facilities and also everyday items like phone charges. Even when calling down to the lobby the staff were not confident in providing us information on room phone charges for long distance or overseas calls. Local calls were however free. This hotel also offers free internet and WIFI throughout the hotel including your room. It was fast and connectivity was very good.

The hotel doesn’t have a pool but did have a very modern and well equipped gymnasium for those who like to exercise.

Whilst there were no coffee and tea making facilities in room fresh coffee was available in the library near the lobby every morning for guests.

Our room was above the bar at the front of the hotel and on Friday and Saturday nights a band plays in the bar. If you have children or sleep early I would advise requesting a room away from here as the music was quite loud but did finish by about midnight so didn’t disturb us.

The hotel is located in a lovely part of Michigan and was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting. We had a fabulous time at the wedding and the food at both the reception and brunch the day after was delicious. The hotel certainly knows how to put on a good function.

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the bar.

Thank you for the kind and positive words about our hotel. I will share your thoughts with the staff at this week's all team meeting. I know every one of them will apprecaite what you have had to say.

Thank you too for providing that tip to early sleepers. You are correct in that the band can become a bit loud during the evening. Fortunately there are only four rooms over the lounge. I apologize if this inconvenienced you in any way.

We do hope that should you come this way again that you will stop in and visit with us.

This is a lovely hotel. Nice rooms with lovely beds. Good service and nice staff.

We stayed there for a family event and enjoyed the quality of the place. Good wine list as well.

It is near to Rochester itself which has a nice bar and restraurant scene. If you like your exercise there are plenty of jogging trails around the place that are old converted railway tracks.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your recent visit with Royal Park Hotel. I will share your kind words with our staff members at this week's All Team Meeting. I am quite sure they will be excited to hear your comments about their service and friendliness.

We are so fortunate to be a part of the Rochester community with its diverse offerings of shopping, restaurants, bars, running and hiking trails and numerous golf courses. It does set us apart from other hotels in our market.

Wonderful property with staff who have been well trained and are attentive to making you feel comfortable. Beautiful rooms - especially on the creek-side. Comfortable beds and an ambiance that instantly helps you relax. Great hotel, locally owned that really cares about their reputation and want people to come back. Have recommended to many business colleagues who visit the Detroit metro area. Especially fun around the winter holidays - the entire downtown of Rochester is decorated with lights and there are carriage rides available outside the hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the creekside

Thank you for everything you have said about our property, our team and our local ownership. Your words are the walking billboard and word of mouth marketing that truly promotes our hotel to the local community as well as domestic and international travelers.

Don't forget to tell people about Oakland County's largest Gingerbread House in our main lobby arriving 16 November this year. last year we had over 6000 visitors and numerous family pictures taken with it. It is a community treat.

All of us do hope that you will have the chance to visit with us soon.
