Excellent. Great room. Got me up next morning to get to airport for flight. Room very nice. Trust that car will be returned to me in good condition this coming Sunday.

I missed a connecting flight due to delay into Michigan and the airline gave me a voucher for one night at this hotel. Was my least favorite hotel I've stayed in in the United States.

The hallways and rooms smelled very musty and overall I had an uncomfortable feeling, although it was indeed a long day for me. I got there late at night and the shuttle driver over was quite strange and rude.

The hotel lobby was somewhat dirty, dark, and uninviting. My key didn't work after grabbing something from the vending machine and I had to take 5 trips to the front desk to get it sorted out. The man staffing the desk was very nice throughout the ordeal, but it did end up being he was coding the key for the wrong room.

The hotel room had very outdated furniture that was broke and had holes in it. The wall had a cluster of some weird sort of flies on it. The lighting in the room was poor at best. I had a food voucher as well, but there is nowhere to get food that late at night other than a pamphlet for delivery to the room that they give you at the desk (I even looked around online, no other place delivered there but this one) and the food was greasy and not the quality shown in the photos. But alas, it was food.

The saving grace for this room was the clean and comfortable bed. This almost got a 2 rating, but the bed was clean and comfortable and I slept well. If all you need to do is get to a room close to the airport and sleep, this hotel works.

Warning: Slow internet and it kept cutting out for 10 minutes at a time.

The morning shuttle ride was more comfortable, the lobby was much more inviting and open in the morning and the woman staffing the desk was very polite and friendly. Overall, I guess it served its purpose.

Tyler,

We apologize that you had a rough time at the airport and were delayed with your travel plans. We understand that this can be a very agitating process, and we are glad that you were satisfied with the new pillow top mattresses that we have recently added to all of our rooms. We have made many other renovations recently, such as adding the flat screen TVs to each room, new linens, and much more. If you were checked-in after our restaurant hours, we are sorry that you were not able to experience the great menu that we offer there (our restaurant does accept airline vouchers, but aside from that there is one off-site pizza place that accepts the vouchers, which it sounds like you were not happy with, and we are sorry for that also!). We are continuing to renovate our hotel through these rough economical times, while still being able to offer great rates to our guests. The furniture in the rooms is being replaced on a room-by-room basis, along with structural renovations and much more.

We hope that the next time you are in our area you will give our hotel another chance to show you all that we truly have to offer!

We booked two rooms in July over the phone and I requested two rollaway beds( one for each room). When we arrived at the hotel they told us they had no available rollaway beds at all. We still took the rooms and although clean they are very outdated. They are also very small. The price is fair and they do have a very nice breakfast setup in the morning. This hotel is fine if you are just staying for a night or two.

Room Tip: We asked for adjoining rooms on the third floor.

Thanks so much for writing in and telling us about your experience at our hotel! We are so sorry that the rollaway beds were not available for you! Usually what happens in situations such as this is that a guest will request one the night before, and will decide to keep it an additional night. When these circumstances happen, they are out of our control, and we do apologize for that!

We are glad that you were happy with our complimentary breakfast, we go out of our way to supply as much as we can so that our guests are happy with their options. We have also recently decided to add a hot breakfast in our restaurant on the weekends after the complimentary breakfast has ended.

We are also always in the process of updating and renovating our hotel to meet the needs of our guests. We have recently added flat screen TVs to all of our rooms, the pillow top mattresses I mentioned, new linens, and we are updating even more as this year begins to come to a close. We do our updates on a room-by-room basis, and it is more than likely that you received one of the rooms that has not been updated as recently. Hopefully the next time you are in our area you will give us another chance to show you just truly what our hotel can offer you!

The rooms are much nicer than the smelly hallways and entrance. The pool looked to be boarded up. We drove from Toronto to fly out from Detroit as it was significantly cheaper and this was the only hotel that would let us book for 5 with a rollaway. Very good price as well to leave the car for 2 weeks. Shuttle was ontime and everything work according to plan. Breakfast is a bit of disaster as the front desk clerk was expected to clean tables, keep everything stocked and man the desk. It was free so we did not complain - there was cereal, yogurt and english muffins you could toast.

This place is somewhere between three and four stars, but that's not an option. The hotel gives deceivingly lackluster impressions on the outside, but is a bit more inviting once you journey through the barred front doors. The lobby and hallways were a bit warm, as was the room upon first arrival, but after turning on the loud air conditioner this was fixed. One complaint about the AC is that its fan has two speed settings- high and about 2rpm higher. The room has pretty decent furnishings, albeit a little beat up, but it's nothing major. There was just the slightest feeling of being a little cramped, and the lack of any spare outlets within reach/sight save for one power strip in a corner was a tad bothersome. One thing I found odd was the complete lack of any towel racks, which meant the abundant towels all had to go in a large stack next to the sink... The breakfast was pretty good (I heeded other reviewers' warnings and didn't try the biscuits and gravy, so I can't state any opinion) and nicely stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again, for the price, if need be.
