Firstly, we were quoted 30 minutes for seating two people and ended up waiting close to an hour. That wouldn't have been horrible if the food was worth waiting an hour for, but it wasn't waiting 5 minutes for.

The dinner rolls are your generic Gordon's Food Service area, so nothing special there, just a plain ol' dinner roll. Neither good or bad, but still something to know.

I ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was actually the highlight of the meal. It had good flavor, good consistency, and was extremely hot.

We ordered the seafood platter, which included coconut shrimp, regular breaded shrimp, scallops, and cod. Out of those, the coconut shrimp had decent flavor and the cod was warm. That's about all the good I can say for that meal. It was all clearly frozen and pre-made food, and lukewarm at best. Our server was...sparsely seen, and I couldn't even get a chance to send this back.

We also ordered a sirloin steak, and I'm honestly not sure if the kitchen knows what salt and pepper are. They did cook it to order correctly, medium rare. One of our sides we ordered was simply labeled "vegetable" on the menu. This ended up being a mixture of green beens, carrots, and something else unmemorable and unseasoned. The vegetables are apparently "Fresh frozen" as our server called it, and ended up having an odd, rubbery texture to them. On asking, our server then notified us that most people don't like the vegetable item.

Ask the locals and you will here this is pretty much the norm for this restaurant. It's sad really, because with a few (key) changes, this could actually be a pretty nice place. I'm so confused as to why there is a wait for this place.

We will not be going back.

We were quoted a wait time of 20-25 minutes and ended up waiting almost an hour. Once we got in, we waited 10 minutes for waters. Thinking it couldn't get much worse and our 3 and 4 year olds really just needed to eat, we ordered as soon as our waitress showed up. It took another 15 minutes to get bread and salads. Then our appetizer, ordered to get the kids food right away, didn't show up until 30 minutes after we ordered it. Our server was rude, saying it was the host's fault and not rushing despite seeing that our kids were tired and hungry. The food was mediocre and the old decor not appealing.

Breakfast was good, eggs over easy, were a little to hard. Good service, bacon was a little over done but still good. Reasonable priced and still better then anything at the hotel breakfast bar.

6 of us had dinner and all of us said the same- edible, but tasteless. Fish and chips was mediocre at best. Whitefish dinner was bland. Fettuccine was boring with watery noodles. Will skip this place when we visit St. Ignace. The only positive was our server who was very nice and gave us really good service.

The food is good, but the prices tend to run high. I have nothing to complain about, but I don't have anything to rave about either. It is just any okay restaurant.
