Always impressed by how the city officials strive to make this "sleepy little town" interesting and a place you'd want to come back to. (as we did) Every restaurant table has a display card of events and activities, they do fireworks all summer, and the public spaces (harbour boardwalk, gardens, etc.) are always well kept.
Except for a few hotels, there are no McD's, Starbucks, KFC, or other big chain operations allowed apparently. Keeps the town quaint.
