My parents wedding anniversary was coming up and I thought a Romance Package from the Boulevard Inn would be the perfect gift! I was not disappointed in the least!

The staff was so great in helping get the room clean and ready for me to set up a few personal touches early. I had requested an early check-in for them of 2 pm. This particular date was not too busy and the front desk staff (as well as housekeeping) gave me a call by 12:30 to let me know everything was all set!

The package had a little something for both of my parents and their room had a great view of the pier/lake.

We also made reservations for them in the Bistro and gave them a gift certificate for them to enjoy dinner on us. The manager, Samer, was very helpful in helping us set up a poster of their years together at their table as well as keeping a chilled bucket of grape juice aside for them as my parents do not drink.

All in all my parents were thrilled with their stay and said it was by far their best anniversary gift yet.

Score!

Room Tip: Anything 4th floor and above seems to get above the trees during a season of bloom.

The hotel is all suites and located close to Silver Beach (overlooking Michigan Lake) and the downtown area - it was a perfect spot for a quick weekend trip. The rooms were large and well appointed (we had a spacious living area and a small kitchenette - refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine). Very convenient and comfortable for a visit to St. Joseph's. An American style breakfast was included in the rate and was good for a quick start to the day. Will stay here again when visiting the St. Joseph / Benton Harbor area.

Room Tip: All the rooms are suites, very spacious and comfotable

The Boulevard is obviously the best location to stay at in the city. We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend and we were able to avoid all the beach traffic and walk right across the street to the beach! Also, the rooms have just been renovated with updated bedding and a great free breakfast as well! The few minor issues were involving the elevator and parking. The hotel apparently have private parking and shares the public downtown lots so we spent about 10-20 minutes looking for a spot. But this was during the Fourth of July weekend so it was understandable. Another minor issues was the elevators were very slow and took forever no matter which floor we were waiting for it on so advice is take the stairs if you can. But besides that we had a very good stay here and I would definatly recommend the Boulevard to anyone staying in St. Joe's!

We sayed here for three nights in a one bedroom suite. The suite was very comfortable, spacious, very clean and quiet.

We thought that parking may be a problem but proved not to be an issue as the hotel has a small car park as well as ample free public parking lots next door.

The food in the Bistro is good if slightly unusual and a tad more expensive than surounding restaurants. Breakfast is advertised as being 'extended continental' but choice is limited.

One unusual aspect is that you can open the windows in the room to let in fresh air early in the mornings

Overall this is a very nice hotel located within a short stroll of the beach and town centre.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

This hotel is ok. Bed was comfortable and room was nice. Just try to avoid using the elevator because my husband and I were stuck in the elevator for over 30 mins. We picked up the phone in the elevator to let front desk know and they told us someone will arrive within an hour to help. We asked if they can call the fire department and they said " No, they won't do anything." They finally got the elevator door to open and we were stuck in between floors 1 & 2. We asked if we can just jump out, but they said no because it was too dangerous in case the elevator resets itself and moves. We sat in the elevator for another 15 mins with patrons walking by starring at us. It was pretty embarrassing. They finally told us we can jump out at our own risk. Of course 24 hours later the elevator was still not fixed. They were supposed to compensate our stay for the night, but the charge was never canceled.

Spacious rooms, mini-kitchen, very comfortable bed and nice sheets!!! We were upgraded and had a nice view of the lake, and the room was quite spacious with a parlor area and nice big bedroom. Was just what we wanted for a quick getaway. Also, walking distance to several nice eateries.

Room Tip: Get a lakeview!!

The Boulevard Inn is a very nice hotel. It has lake views, very friendly staff, and the hotel is very clean. It is just a short walk away from all the shops in downtown St. Joseph and the beach. I do not have one complaint about the hotel and would recommend it to anyone traveling in this area.
