We were in Victoria to attend a bicycle rally held at UVic. We selected this B&B based upon proximity to UVic and the reviews here. It is close to the lovely neighborhood of Oak Bay and only two blocks to the water.

We were not disappointed. The owners are gracious and welcoming. The room (we stayed in Oriental) was spacious and well appointed.

Breakfast was a highlight. Great food, nicely presented.

Free Wi-fi was a plus.

We will stay here atain.

There were 6 ladies who wanted to see Victoria B.C. 5 from Washington state and 1 from California. 3 of us are of limited mobility. We stayed 3 days in September 2008 and didn't want to leave. Egle and her family went out of their way to ensure we had suitable transportation. Egle is a very busy lady but I marvel at how caring and compassionate she is. The accomadations are wonderful. Comfortable,Warm and very inviting. The food is sensational. ( Especially the homemade Muffins she sent with us each day). This is definitely the place for a restful and memorable stay.Besure and check out the The Blethering Place in the village of Oak Bay and say hello to Jeanie. She will make your time there very memorable. Thank you Egle for a Great time and we will be back. Carole McKee Pasco, Washington

A group of 12 of us from England stayed here in September for three nights. Fabulous place, a really interesting building with loads of character and charm. Very quiet location but easy walking to the Marina and several good eateries in Oak Bay. The wonderfully charismatic landlady could not have been more welcoming, ushering 12 weary travellers to the sun lounge for tea and beer! Fresh coffee available from the kitchen before breakfast which in itself is pretty sensational, unlike anything we'd expect in the UK. In a nutshell, if you are going to stay in the Oak Bay area of Victoria then this is the place to stay.

I researched a long time to find the perfect B&B for my recent trip to Vancouver Island. It was well worth the effort! The Oak Bay has a wonderful old-world charm to it. You can see the photos for yourself on the Web site. The rooms are clean and each has a unique character and charm to it. The bed was really comfortable, with high quality sheets. I liked the sun room upstairs as it provided a place to meet other travellers, watch tv or simply curl up with a book or magazine.

But what makes a B&B so special are the people. All of the staff were friendly and the food was AMAZING! They feed you so much, you hardly need any lunch. The village of Oak Bay is also lovely. You can spend an entire afternoon just strolling through the shops and drinking coffee. I highly recommend this B&B if you are staying in the Victoria area.

After a 2 night stay at the Oak Bay Guest House, my sister and I commented to each other about how hassle free our experience was. The rooms are spotless and are very comfortable. The mints were yummy. The gardens are beautiful.
The food was excellent. Egle, the owner and her son make a great team. They both have a great sense of humour.

Egle wasn't kidding when she said to be waiting at the curb for our shuttle pick up back to the airport. If you aren't waiting, the driver will slow down and take off if he doesn't see anyone.

This B and B will be our favourite place to stay in Victoria. Oak Bay is beautiful, even if it was raining. There is lots to do and see. The Blethering Place and the Pennyfarthing Pub were both good experiences and have great food.

I stayed for one night with my teenage son and mother in law. Egle and Derek made us feel so welcome from the time we arrived until we left. We had two twin bedded rooms and the beds were so comfortable. One room had its private bathroom across the hall but it wasn't a problem at all. We used the sitting room to make an evening drink and watch TV a while. The delicious breakfast was beautifully presented and enjoyed by everyone. We were even given muffins to take with us. The house was beautiful, like stepping back to a more gracious time, but with all mod cons. I will definitely return as it was so much nicer than staying in a large, impersonal hotel.

Incredible atmosphere, beautiful and clean! Nice comfortable bed, perfect after a long day! Within walking distance to oak bay marina and willows beach!! Also right on a bus route! Hospitality was second to none, very warm, very welcoming, very sincere!!! Very cozy areas to sit and read, and one television available in the common room if that is what one would want.
Lovely garden area to sit in, with table and chairs provided!
Breakfast was fabulous each morning, and luckily I was there for 3 breakfasts!!
Highly reccomend, and plan to return in the future!
