We have a home in the area but had not been to Hercules for dinner, so we went twice in one month. The service on both Saturday nights was very cordial but rather slow (both nights we waited 15 minutes, once seated, to order drinks). The Greek-inspired entrees are the ticket here -- don't order anything but -- and prices are very reasonable for a white-tablecloth restaurant. The restaurant takes reservations, which is helpful if you are used to taking your chances at Phil's around the corner, or at Everyday People Café in Douglas. The food is certainly good although not a gourmet experience -- but then, you're not being asked to pay for one. A solid meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
