Faultless and fantastic roast lunch! Hot plate, beautifully cooked, presented and plenty of it. We had a side room to ourselves for a family birthday, we were incredibly well looked after and the prices were very fair too! Excellent!!!

Started off well on Friday 31st August.. When delivering the starters the waitress spilled the Olive Oil And Balsamic Vinegar from an open ramekin dish all over the table. We had to try and soak it up with serviettes and clean it up ourselves. It dripped onto on our our parties trousers and then we had to go to the bar to request a cloth to try to clean up the mess properly. The waitress then arrived a made an attempt to clean the table. The starters of baked camembert, nachos and parfait was ok. The bread was not very fresh.. For the main course we ordered three paella and one sea bass. The bass was just about ok but served on a very messy plate and the paella was gloopy, stodgy and basicially inedible. The waiter came to clear the table and asked was everything ok. We pointed out the three almost untouched plates of paella and explained they were inedible. His response was "Oh". We asked for the bill and he brought it to us. We split the Bill by rounding it up to the nearest whole figure and the waiter proceeded to add 46 pence to one card and 47 pence the the other card. Bizarre. We were beyond it all by now so left without a word never to return.

Many thanks for letting us know about your experience with us last weekend. I have now had a chance to speak to the team on that evening to try and find out exactly what happened.
I can only apologise for the waitress' spillage - if you do need us to organise the dry cleaning for your trousers please do contact us directly so that we can do this for you.
With regards to your meals and bill - we had a brand new 16 year old waiter who was serving your table that evening and unfortunately did not act correctly and pass the information on that you were not happy with your meal. We do wish that you had asked to speak to a senior member on duty as we do always have a supervisor working and available so that she might have been able to do more to resolve these issues on the evening - she is genuinely sorry that she missed the information that you hadn't had a good evening.
From our point of view, we do understand that we should have monitored our new waiters actions more closely and will most certainly be reviewing this going forward.
We do hope we might be able to welcome you back to the Tavern, if you would like to discuss your issues further - please do just give us a call and ask for Fritz.

This was our first visit to the Broom Tavern after hearing some friends talking about it .

We had booked for Saturday evening, we was shown to our table and given a menu that was a wide ranging choices of starters -and mains .

There was specials available which was a specific theme of Chinese , I went for the chicken and chorizo paella and my wife went for the chilli crispy beef special . When food arrived good portion sizes and bothered dishes were very tasty and good quality . For dessert I had the blackberry mille feuille and my wife had the choc golden bomb , both again were very good

There was also a good range of wines available and other drinks , very good and knowledgeable service especially from Izzy , very much good value for money and will be visiting again in the near future

We had thought of going to Stratford Upon Avon for a culinary adventure on our Friday night out but after our visit to the Broom Tavern we were delighted with our choice.

The Tavern is one of those rare gems with a chef patron who just loves creating fabulous food and thrives on making everything in house.

We kicked off with their Chinese duck pancakes which were a special for the week. These were off the scale superb. At no point did they try to look exactly like your favourite Chinese - homemade pancakes, gorgeous chilli jam and wonderful honey soy sauce all complimented the duck confit brilliantly.

Blimey, and then we had to make room for mains....

I plumped for the house burger in the house made brioche bun - everything about this was beautiful. Mrs M had the homemade nachos with crab. Really unusual combo for the UK but these were also superb. Once again, even the nachos were homemade when otter restaurants would be pouring out of a packet.

My only minor moan is that the seating in the restaurant could be more comfortable BUT as I said at the start this place is a gem, the food is superb and the drink is also great with plenty of choice whatever your favourite tipple.

A lovely Friday night out in a great place.

Thank Neil M

We ended up at this place by mistake, I had booked the wrong pub, but what a happy mistake it turned out to be.
Lovely friendly staff, the food is amazing, everything on the plate is as a taste sensation, cooked to perfection, the steaks are so tasty, and comes with the amazing triple cooked chips.
Love everything about this place, we have now been 3 times, and will continue to go.
Not the cheapest, but worth every penny, I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed if you go.
