Comfortable accommodations, excellent library of books and videos, three course gourmet breakfast, friendly hosts all in a serene country environment. A lovely opportunity to leave city pressures behind.

We stayed in the Sirens Call room in early October and had a wonderful experience. Mike and Patty were excellent hosts. The food was outstanding. Everything was homemade and fresh. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We went here for our 15th anniversary. It was a very romantic getaway. This Italian Manor is nestled on beautiful grounds. The entire house is warm and welcoming with its décor. The 3 course breakfast was absolutely incredible. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed walking the nature paths and visiting the cats outside. Our only disappointment was that we hadn't found this place sooner. It would make a great place to travel with a group of friends. The rooms are all decorated nicely. The common living room and library are great as are the seating areas on the screened in porch and in the back. We will be back!!

Room Tip: All the rooms in the main house have their own fireplace. We loved Heather's room because it wa...

My husband and I spent three nights in this really lovely old mansion.
The food was all made from scratch and it was wonderful. The rooms were
large and comfortable beautifully decorated and very well maintained. Patty and Mike go out of their way to make you feel at home. We were there on Mother's Day weekend and Patty helped one of my sons surprise me with a bottle of wine, cheeses, crackers and chocolates. He wanted to do something and she assisted him by putting it all together for us. What a surprise!!
The house is very ornate. They have a large sitting room a library and a large
dining room for the guests to share. The kitchen is all Patty's. Outside there are 11 beautiful acres to explore with a canoe and paddle boat to enjoy on their pond. They are less than 20 minutes from South Haven and about the same from Saugatuck. We took a tour of the local winery and discovered some new enjoyable wines to add to our collection. A very enjoyable weekend. We definitely recommend this B and B to anyone who is planning to visit this area.

We stayed at this very charming bed and breakfast which is about an hour and a half drive out of Chicago.
Charm with a capital C, and that goes for the nature of the owner operators of this fine Italianate abode. The house is about a 150 years old and it has been refurbished to a high standard. The rooms are all very well appointed with attached bathrooms, there is a separate two bedroom cabin which is available as well.
Surrounded by eleven acres of grounds that include woods with a pond which adds to the peace and quite of the place. Guests can relax in the library and, weather permitting go for walks on the grounds or in the area.

Patty is a fine cook and will prepare an excellent breakfast. She bakes all her own breads, muffins etc from scratch and one can really taste the difference.

Seymour House is opened all year and is a Bed and Breakfast that I would like to visit again in the not too distant future.

I would recommend anyone to stay at the Seymour House! It is a great getaway for anyone looking to get a nice relaxing weekend. There was a variety of people that were staying there the weekend that we went, everyone from college aged couples, to couples in their 30s, to couples celebrating a second marriage. Everyone was so nice and came from all over the Midwest just to stay at the Seymour House! Mike and Patty were warm and welcoming and made the whole experience that much better. Every morning the food was delicious and fresh! One morning Mike even went out to the back forest to pick fresh wild berries for us. Both mornings we stayed there was extra food just in case someone wanted some more. The buffet-style pastry bar was my favorite part. Patty made delicious homemade pastries and breads for us as well as fabulous jams/spreads that you could buy if you wanted some extra to take home with you. The grounds were beautiful. The trails were relaxing to walk on and the pond was serene to sit and look at. The property cats Seymour and Samantha were even welcoming. They would show you around, but never bother you. We stayed in Heather's Room. It was very nice. It had an old feeling to it, but was not old at all. It had cable tv in the bedroom as well as a DVD/VHS player. It was a larger room, but still had an intimate feel. Since it was summer, we did not use the fireplace, but it sure looked nice! The jacuzzi tub was new and very comfortable after a long day at the beach. What sets the Seymour House aside from other B&Bs is the extra little touches. For example, they have a pantry area where you can help yourself to unlimited Pepsi, Sprite, Water, Coffee, Tea and Patty's ALWAYS FRESH cookies. Also, they have about 200 DVDs and another 500 books you can borrow while staying with them. Mike and Patty are excellent hosts and I would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: We stayed in "Heather's Room" and it was fantastic! The room was spacious yet intimate...
